Great Family Time at Carlton Landing!

Right across from the meeting house and school playground, with beautiful fall weather we spent the days outside. My grandkids loved the icecream truck that came by daily!

Best Location in Carlton

This home was right across from the Meeting House which was so convenient for grabbing coffees! The detached garage left us a good spot to park beside. We had 3 large vehicles that weren't in the way. There was a park not 1/2 a mile down the road for our kiddoes. Mama Tig's pizza was a short scooter ride down the road. The garden area beside us gave us privacy from neighbors and allowed us to go look at the chickens, pumpkins, zinnias, and sunflowers. We are a cooking group and the kitchen/dining was great for serving 9. The double porch and hanging beds were a hit during the day. We couldn't figure out the Primary Suite's air conditioning, but maintenance showed up the next day and got everything working in no time. We could not be happier with the home. We walked the entire area and wouldn't have wished to be in any other location.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The community is beautiful. The house was very nice but could use some minor improvements. The front porch has some wood rot and peeling paint. The wicker furniture on the upper terrace is completely broken down and needs to be replaced. An outlet in one bathroom was not working. The upstairs a/c was out. Management offered to move us to another house but we chose not to do so since we had already unpacked suitcases and kitchen items. They graciously agreed to refund one night’s rent. I would definitely return to the area but would rent a different property.

Family summer fun get away

Great 3 day weekend stay with extended families. House has an amazing location and huge double front porches that allow for tons of outdoor fun. Interior was clean and bed were super comfortable! Will definitely be coming back again!

Wonderful Family Vacation

We had a family reunion and rented a couple homes in Carlton Landing for a few families! This home was spacious and had plenty of room for everyone to sleep comfortably and had great gathering spaces inside and out for all of our meals and gatherings with 11 adults and 6 kiddos. The town is charming and sweet -- we rented a boat, enjoyed the yard games, the kids loved the community garden right next door and the pools. Would highly recommend and we can't wait to visit again!

The location was perfect and convenient to load and off-load from the dock. The long dining room table seated all 11 of us very comfortably. The 5 little ones fit on the long bench. The kitchen had everything we needed. We definitely want to come back!

The development was a little disappointing from the last time we were there. Trash receptacles were lacking, the hot tub was green and unsafe, access to the other pool was not there and the rental rates for items at the marina were outrageous. The homes and concept are outstanding!

Needs deep cleaned badly

I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a good time in Carlton landing. This property could use some deep cleaning. There was stuff splattered all over the bottom cabinets, the bathroom corners were caked with dirt as well. Light fixtures and corners of the room had cob Webs. I think if you’re paying that much money for a home it should be very clean. Overall the house had most of what we needed. Some cooking essentials weren’t there, like salt and pepper. We were also told there was a camera in the house. I do think people should disclose that if there is. Some people aren’t comfortable with cameras or Atleast want to know if there is one. We’ve stayed at other properties and never had that issue in CL. We love coming there, but we will pick another property next time.

They were very accommodating, the home was beautiful, the rooms were perfect, the bunk beds were wonderful, the grounds amazing for your kids to venture off without worrying too much. They loved the chickens, beach, the outdoor music, the large fields, the pumpkin painting across the street, the playgrounds, and MORE. Get a golf cart, and book it!

The best part was being next to the garden.I think the sheets could be better. And the thermostat upstairs was limited and it was hot upstairs. I called about it a couple times and no one ever came to help. The wifi also didn’t work.
