The Freshwater Lagoon is five miles south and features miles of dunes and a boat launch area for boaters and kayakers. You'll be just south of the National Redwood Park, which boasts camping sites, scenic hiking and biking trails, wildlife watching, and more! Fun annual events held locally include the Orick Rodeo which takes place in the summer, as well as the Yurok Tribe's Sumeg Village Day, a celebration of the local Native American culture held at nearby Patrick's Point State Park.
