Newly remodeled 1950's cottage in the heart of Orick, home to Redwood National and State parks. Surrounded by the Redwoods
2 bedrooms, 1 bath. 1 king bed, 1 queen bed accommodates a family of 4 nicely. Living room, a cozy sitting room with fireplace and open kitchen. 2 flat screens, satellite tv and dvd. fully equipped kitchen with major and small appliances, cookware,dishes and utensils provided. 2 recliners in the sitting room and a large overstuffed couch in the living room are inviting after your long hikes among the ancient redwoods.
2 minutes drive in any direction gets you to the beach or the majestic old growth redwoods.
A cozy wood stove provides heat for the cottage.
Kitchen is fully stocked with all utensils and cooking items needed. features a stove, microwave, full size fridge, blender, crock-pot and Keurig coffee pot!
Roll-away twin bed is tucked in the closet and available for that extra bed.

Comfortable place for family rest. Near Fern Canyon, Tall tree trail and Lady Bird Johnson Grove. The Mojo pizza near in the plaza is great!

Perfect for our family of four and extremely clean! Kitchen had everything we needed and more. My only complaint is something that the host can probably not fix. I'm not used to the humidity and nothing seems to dry here. Grateful there is a washer and DRYER available

This is an adorable little cottage right on 101. Very close to Lady Bird Johnson Grove and many hiking trails. It was very clean and bed was comfortable. I had some issues with getting the TV to work and Kimberly talked me through it. The only reason I gave this property a 4 was the fact the electric heater in the bedroom gave a very little heat. I am always cold; so this was a negative for me. There was a wood burning stove; but we only stayed one night and didn’t take the time to start a fire. The sweet dog next door; came and greeted us when we arrived.

Close to Good Hiking

We picked this location because it was close to several good hiking locations. It’s a little on the pricier side, but I imagine that’s why. No complaints from my party. The kitchen was well stocked and we enjoyed the neighbor’s dog. It’s right in the highway so one may have an issue with road noise. We were so tired from our hikes, we slept soundly both nights we stayed.

Perfect for an adventure.

Great little property for adventures in the Redwood Forest National Park. Only a couple minutes from main trail heads. There is a little road noise and the town of Orick has no amenities to speak of but your only a few miles from Trinidad which offers great food and views.

This home is very comfortable! The two bedrooms were all we needed to make this a very cozy and pleasant stay. Orick is a very small, quaint town practically in the redwoods groves themselves. Whether we wanted to go to the coast or the National or state parks, everything was right there!

The cottage is well maintained and very clean. The location as far as distance to the redwoods is perfect Host was very nice and responsive Cons: I wish I had taken the negative reviews of literally no restaurants or gas anywhere close by. We finally figured out the closest place is 30 minutes away. We then bought groceries to have food after a full day of hiking. The VERY busy road it sits on is very very loud at night. If you’re looking for a quiet place this is definitely not it. Again the location is ideal for getting to the park just be aware
