A Wonderful Choice

My family and I had a marvellous three-week stay at this lovely property. Chris and Caroline were excellent hosts and had attended to every detail with care and attention. This was declared the best holiday ever by all the family. The pool was particularly popular with everyone. It is a lovely area for a family holiday, and we enjoyed every minute of it.

Exceptional property

Just got back from two weeks in this stunning property. It really is beautiful and the hosts Caroline and Chris could not have been more helpful. There is so much space both inside and out to keep everyone from teenage boys to grandparents happy. We spent an amazing peaceful two weeks in the property. I can't decide if my favourite spot is the dining area outside where we spent nearly every meal, or the beautiful kitchen area where we all congregated after dark. Thank you so much for having us.

This is a stunning holiday home and is equipped with just about anything you might need for a perfect holiday. The hosts go out if their way to ensure you have everything you need and the welcome is delightful. The pool is kept spotless and the outdoor spaces are perfect for eating and relaxing. We absolutely loved our stay in Expiremont. Chris and Caroline were wonderful hosts. The property is beautiful, and thoroughly set up for children and families staying. Our children loved the pool, various games and dvds that were there, and the badminton and table tennis in the stunning garden area. The property has stunning views of the rolling Charente countryside and vineyards. Would thoroughly recommend.

fantastic Place

The home was fantastic for ourselves and out adult children and grandchildren. We stayed 2 weeks and everyone else came and went as their time allowed. Caroline and Chris couldn't have been more accommodating but not intrusive. A beautiful home that is easy for all to have a great time. Restaurants in the area exceeded our expectations. Caroline et Chris sont des personnes formidables et à l’écoute de leurs hôtes et on fait preuve de beaucoup de gentillesse et d’attention à notre égard. La maison est belle (ancienne ferme charentaise rénovée), propre et décorée avec beaucoup de goût. La vue est magnifique et l’environnement d’un calme reposant. Il y a une belle piscine mais nous n’en avons pas vraiment profité à cause du temps. Nous vous recommandons les yeux fermés cette propriété !

Magnifique grande maison tout confort, intérieur, extérieur, piscine avec vue sur une campagne superbe, calme et luxe résument bien cet endroit! Tout est parfaitement propre et aménagé, les propriétaires qui habitent discrètement à côté sont adorables et disponibles si besoin. Nous avons adoré cette semaine en campagne charentaise, loin de la foule mais proche de plages et de beaux endroits, au bon vouloir de chacun. Caroline and Chris were the perfect hosts and deserve great credit for creating an amazing Gite with everything you could wish for! 'Le Nook' is beautifully decorated and is in a stunning setting in the middle of the rolling French countryside. I would recommend 'Le Nook' to anyone looking for a beautiful, relaxing place to stay. The pool and surrounding gardens wouldn't look out of place at the Chelsea Flower Show and reflect the care and attention put into them by Caroline & Chris. Panoramic views and a wonderful setting

We really enjoyed our 11 days here. The property is well described on the website, though perhaps understating the beautiful garden which has more roses, geraniums and petunias than anywhere we've seen outside RHS Wisley. The accommodation is compact but entirely sufficient and well equipped. A door from the bedroom to the pool area would shorten the route from kitchen to the magnificent shaded eating area but the exercise does no harm! Expiremont is not at the heart of tourist France which means that places of interest involve a little more travelling but the up side of this is that the places to visit are not overrun with fellow Brits and are authentic France. We were certainly not disappointed. Chris and Caroline are excellent hosts with a good knowledge of where to go and what to do and, within the limits of sharing the same site, are sensitive to giving us the free run of the place.

We found the perfect place to relax, unwind and soak up everything good this beautiful region of France has to offer. Le Nook is both quaint & chic, a literally idyllic base with stunning views across the French countryside. Hosts Caroline & Chris are lovely and have thought of everything to make your stay perfect. The property is conscientiously maintained from the lovingly tendered flora & fauna, to the spotlessly clean pool, bbq & outside eating area. The accommodation is also spotlessly clean and extremely comfortable with charming personal touches such as fresh flowers in the kitchen and cheese & wine on arrival. Cannot recommend this place enough, thank you for a wonderful stay.
