My arrival at the InterContinental Tahiti Resort & Spa from the airport was seamless and convenient, as the property is located just a short distance away. I arrived the evening prior to my birthday, which was the primary reason for my visit to Tahiti. After a long journey from Pennsylvania, I greatly appreciated the efficient and welcoming check-in process. The resort itself is charming, with staff who were consistently warm, pleasant, and eager to assist. My room was comfortable and well-appointed, with effective air conditioning and a decent view. Upon arrival, there was a noticeable mildew scent; however, I was able to freshen the space. The bed was slightly firm for my preference, though I still managed a restful stay. Breakfast each morning was relaxed and enjoyable. While the overall selection was fairly basic, I appreciated the made-to-order eggs…though consistency in preparation improved toward the end of my stay. I dined at several restaurants on the property, with Le Lotus being the highlight. I chose to celebrate my birthday there, and the experience was truly special, even while dining solo. Additionally, I was pleasantly surprised with a thoughtful and delicious birthday dessert delivered to my room. One area for improvement would be the bar service, as it would be nice to have more flexibility in cocktail options beyond those listed on the menu. Overall, my stay was enjoyable, with several thoughtful touches that made my birthday trip memorable.

You can’t beat the location , right on the ocean with beautiful views of Moorea. I was disappointed in the quality and condition. of the accommodation, very sparse and in need of renovation. Full breakfast available of average quality and very expensive. The food at Lotus was exceptional, unfortunately the waiter chose to give good service to two larger tables and largely ignored us.

We stayed on the second floor closest to the over water bungalows. The room was average to good, but unfortunately a pipe burst apparently somewhere so they shut off the water for two hours mid-morning without informing us. Thankfully no one was taking a shower or doing a number 2. There also was construction noise on the grounds to repair the pipe which woke us up early the first morning. The building next to us is undergoing a complete gutting and reno, but we didn't hear any noise from that direction. It does look a little worrisome at first when you pass by it as there's plywood boarding up areas and open doorways. It's not what we expected from a $1000/nite hotel I guess. There are convenient shuttles available to take you to and from your room if needed, but you smell the exhaust riding in the back. Staff were generally pleasant. The view from our room was good of the pool, Moorea, and construction grader. The lagoon was very nice and full of fish swimming about. The buffet and dance show was good. Proximity to the airport and cruise port is nice. The Lotus Michelin restaurant is good but a bit pricey. Overall there's not many luxury hotels right on the water in town, and with Tahiti's popularity I guess they can charge a premium for that. In hindsight maybe staying elsewhere and just getting a day pass at the Intercontinental probably would have been equally as fine.

What a gorgeous property, and so close to the airport, without feeling the slightest bit like an “airport hotel.” The place is large and well laid-out, with a wide variety of pool and dining options, each with a totally different vibe. We spent a two-day layover here on the way to New Zealand, and without ever leaving the property, we felt like we had a lovely little Tahitian getaway! The “Lagoonarium” — a mini-lagoon with exotic fishes you could swim with! — was a childhood dream come true! I always wanted to jump into the fish ponds at resorts, and I was able to do that in this gorgeous pool with friendly fishes! They also have a sea turtle rescue program there, which was fascinating and moving. We took a scuba diving trip right from the property a few hours after arriving, and saw many fish, stingrays, eagle rays, a plane wreck and a boat wreck in the crystal-clear waters. What a low-effort way to have a spectacular experience! The food at The Lotus Restaurant was transcendent! Staff were friendly, professional, and attentive. I will recommend this hotel to everyone I know!

The resort was very, very clean and organized and absolutely each and every staff member was so friendly and professional. The front desk staff, for example, assisted us with every request and question quickly, efficiently and with genuine smiles. The fitness centre was impressive and we used it a couple of times. The landscaping was amazing and you could tell they took a lot of pride in it and the over the water bungalow that we were in was a dream come true!

Pools were amazing and large! Sunscreen was provided as was water stations. Plenty of chairs and sun loungers. They have tea kettles and mini fridges in the rooms and laundry services for free. Staff was so friendly and hotel was clean.

This was a true resort. Very large property where you can relax and be entertained without leaving. Great pools, especially the fish salt pool. We kayaked and walking the grounds was great. Even had fantastic show on Saturday night.
