We personally cleaned the kitchen and the bathroom (to the best of our ability with our limited supplies) upon arrival. We would have cleaned the floor had the mop not been visibly unusable. We weren’t expecting luxury…it was a good price for a humble place to lay our heads for a couple nights. But the toilet needed to be flushed when we arrived and simple things weren’t provided - there was a coffee pot but no filters, we had to buy our own toilet paper because less than a full roll ...

Chena Hot Springs Resort offers a large variety of activities year-round. One of those is snow shoeing, both a fantastic and frusterating experience lol you can rent a pair at their activity center for $7.50/hr or a flat $25 a day. There are several trails around the resort ranging from an easy walk to a strenuous climb. This one was the mountain ridge trail, a 3 mile easy walk around the resort that held some pretty fantastic views, especially at sunset. Once you master the art of moving in a snow shie, its a surprisingly enjoyable way to spend the afternoon! :)
