"The room I stayed in was clean, the bed was comfy, the room was dark and quiet. It was a disabled room which I hadn't asked for. the bathroom was huge but there was no toilet lid and the wash basin was tiny even though the shower was good. There was no kettle in the room, which was a major disadvantage for me but you can get a drink from the cafe upstairs and bring it back to your room. Not brilliant. The staff were pleasant. The breakfast was ok, but not very warm, although you could get as much as you wanted."

"I wanted to like this hotel more than I did. After a lively conversation with an airport taxi driver, I expected more than an indifferent reception from the front lobby staff. As a first-timer to Scotland, this slightly dampened my excitement about being in Glasgow. No one greeted me or asked if I needed anything when I hesitated in the lobby. A few of the front staff didn’t even look up from their computers. This hotel is a four-star, so I expect more than a shrug when inquiring about Glasgow attractions. At the bar, I waited seven minutes for someone to ask if I needed anything, even though several staff members rushed back and forth between the bar and the separate restaurant. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, but the bathroom was small. I didn’t find space for my toiletries, and the hotel offered no guest amenities. The room service is limited, but the pricing is reasonable. The good news is that the hotel is in the city center and close to the train station. Would I return to this hotel? No. But it has its benefits."

"Excellent all round property. Rooms are spacious, generally luxurious, restaurant and breakfast is excellent. Well worth a stay and visit."

"Staff was nice and room was cleaned daily. We did notice some maintenance needed to be done in the shower. Caulking on the shower was over it service life and cracking causing mold growth. We also noticed stains on the comforter. Lastly, wished breakfast was included with hotel stay. "

"Location is ok, walkable and some very nice places for breakfast. Lots of historical architecture. Found a few LGBT bars in the area (walkable) that stayed open pretty late. Room was clean and not too small but temperature control was poor. Can’t turn on the A/c outside of summer months. I went in april and my room was stuffy and hot no matter that the window was opened (only allowed a crack). Basic amenities. No laundry service but they have a bar and a gym. Breakfast was pretty good, nothing exceptional, but cheap and satisfying. "
