「On arrival I was a bit unsure and opening up the shed was difficult for me as the door is very stiff! Charles did ask if I needed help which I declined, definitely say yes! The door is really loud to close, you could not sneak a person past if you tried! 😉 First impression when opening the shed, “Man what have I done?!”, but don’t despair, got up the stairs and have a look! Convenient location in Portland. It was windy and cold during our stay so we appreciated the heating. Local information provided by host was good.」

「This isn’t the first time that we have stayed here. The first time was why we came back as the room we were in was comfortable enough. This time around the room itself was fine but the bed wasn’t very comfortable as the padding on the top of the mattress wasn’t evenly distributed and it would appear that the mattress may need to be replaced. The rest of the room was fine and the staff were hospitable.」

「Very good location for quietness & sea views. 4-5 kms from town centre. 2 storeys with about 8 steps that are quite steep. The house has a lot of vintage character, lots of natural light & a good sense of space. However, some parts, although clean, still look a bit shabby. Instructions for entry & any other information were clear & accurate. We enjoyed our 2 night stay mid-March.」
