Kings Grant condo

Great location, wonderful view of the bay and local wildlife. Interior is showing signs of rental wear and tear. Could use updating, maintenance and paint throughout. Generally the property condition is lacking but overall good stay with no significant issues.

Gorgeous view

This is a very nice corner unit townhouse with amazing views. All the rooms were very comfortable and nicely decorated. The location is closed to great restaurants and shops. We had a very relaxing time and would stay there again.

Quick spring retreat

Relaxed setting. Space for everyone. Beautiful views. Comfy beds! Overall very happy with our experience. Just a few minor concerns. Towels were brand new and left us covered in white lint. Seemed like they hadn't been washed as the inspection stickers we're still on the fabric. The vent above the king size bed was caked with dust and needs to be cleaned. (This seems like an oversight as the rest of the house was very neat and clean.) Many of the electrical outlets are very loose, plugs just fell out. I was unable to use my curling iron because it wouldn't stay plugged in to get hot. There were also a few ants when we arrived and throughout our stay, just a few each day, mainly around the kitchen sink. Compared to some places we've rented this was a very minimal ant situation. Again, these were minor concerns, and overall we loved our experience and would be very happy to come back.

Another great week

In January I rented the property for a week to get away with my adult son. We had a great time, and I especially enjoyed the water views from the living room and the master bedroom. So I brought my wife back for a week in February, and she was delighted as well. The views of the bay are spectacular, even in grey misty weather or snow. On sunny days, the walk across the highway to get to the ocean beach is short and easy. It was a great week. We will definitely be booking this property again.

Terrific Water Views

The house is clean and bright and located at the southwest end of a row of townhouses built right at the edge of grasslands and the bay, so plenty of sun and light throughout the day, and spectacular water views from the living room, master bedroom and porches. We had a walk on the beach at sunset (across the highway, five minute walk), and with the ocean as a backdrop, and then returned to the house to watch the sun drop below the horizon across the bay. Just beautiful.

Good House / needs improvement

The property was comfortable and the view of the bay was lovely. There were a few things to report: The light above the dining table didn't work, the air conditioner went out and it took a day to have it repaired, the bed didn't have proper mattress pads and the mattresses were very thin, there was no broom, no iron, only a couple of wine glasses, and the dishwasher didn't always work. Although the cleaning crew did an excellent job we noted that storage areas were cluttered and dirty and the washer dryer was full of sand and not very effective.

Great location, right opposite beautiful beach

The property, while dated, is kept in good condition and clean and had all the basic necessities for a short stay. It's located right opposite a long, quiet beach and faces the bay which offers lovely sun set views. The property is also close to the heart of Bethany and convenient to local stores and restaurants. Very nice place for a family getaway!

Fenwick Island / King's Grant

This townhome was well equipped for our stay. Location and space was perfect for our family. We would have no hesitation to rebook in the future. I have used HomeAway for several vacations in the past and was very satisfied. Unfortunately the communication with the direct leasing company and emails (instructions) from HomeAway conflicted. (need to get on the same page) We ended up calling to verify instructions from leasing company and the service was very (poor) disappointing. They were not familiar with the property and could not answer simple questions such as beach parking, tags, etc. Which unfortunately lead to a conflict with one of the owners when parking on the beach side of the complex. It was not pleasant and very unexpected and could have been avoided if we had proper instructions from the start. This was one of many instances that arose over our stay, but was the most embarrassing and certainly understood where this owner was coming from when approached. Another instance was the use of the pool which we did not used, since there was no instructions (code) that worked to enter and when we called leasing company there was no response or call back. This was very unfortunate since the property itself was very comfortable for my family. We fault the leasing company directly not the property owners. I personally am in the real estate business and know that communication and service representation could make or break your business no matter where the location and property condition. My clients and the properties I represent are my number one priority, this was not the case with this particular leasing company. Just beware of instructions. This property's location you cannot beat! Other than the managing company I would definitely rebook in the future.
