"Remote staff consistent with many nice hotels in small towns. Clean and comfortable. Spartan, but all expected accoutrements provided (blow dryer). No outside windows but that helps with sleeping late and is expected when an old mercantile is converted to hostelry. I’d stay here again in a heartbeat. "

"House was maybe the most well thought out, well constructed, downright cozy short term rental that I have literally ever stayed in. Everything was clearly thought through: with ample bath towels and hot tub towels (appropriately labeled), usb cords with every type of connector in every room, an awesome hot tub that required no confusing instructions to make it work, a door code/gate code that was set to the last 4 digits of my phone number, a tv that autosigned you out of streaming services on checkout, cookies and pretzels for snacks and bottles of water in the fridge… I could keep going…The house itself was secluded, secure (behind an initial auto gate to enter the property and a second gate to park behind), well constructed, and perfectly decorated for the style of home. I could literally keep typing positives about this place, but I supposed the best thing I can possibly say is this: I have NEVER written a review for anything. Ever. This is my very first one and I remember when the internet became a ‘thing’…. Thats saying something. "

"The Parish was a great stay. The host was very accommodating and the property was perfect for a getaway. Great views, great night sky. Highly recommend this property! "

"My family of 5 wanted a quiet relaxing Christmas break and that’s what we got! We spent the week of Christmas here and had a very enjoyable time. The home is a bit out dated on the outside but the warm, comfortable inside and peaceful landscape way made up for that. "

"A real gem sits nestled back in the liveoaks off Hwy 183 north of Lometa with immaculate landscaping, picnic tables, a giant outdoor chess set, and the cutest 3 ft pig you've ever seen. The home is immaculate and so lovingly decorated - and it feels like a home, not a house. Lori has done a wonderful job equipping the house with all the essentials plus some wonderful extras. A basket with snacks, water, and some great Lometa tumblers welcomed us. And the bed is beyond belief comfortable - we have stayed in 5 star hotels that didn't have beds this comfortable. We both slept delicious (as they say in the Netherlands)! We will most definitely book with Lori again, she is the cream of the crop of hosts!"

"The home was clean and orderly. The TV and Gate remotes didn’t work, so I downloaded a tv remote and was able to get by. Would have been nice had those devices been tested so they would have worked. The only shower, the shower head need to be cleaned so water comes, not easy to take a shower. Overall, a nice place in the country."
