We had the studio one bedroom appartement, is was nice, great view of the mountains. The kitchen lacked some basic stuff, the bathroom soap was mediocre and the couch was stained...Very expensive for a night stay.

We stayed two nights on our Ring road trip, and it was one of the best places we’ve stayed on the island. Very comfortable beds, spacious 2 bedroom suite, gorgeous view of the fyord and very convenient to a grocery store, coffee house and a walking path. Our kids loved the maritime museum we’ve found nearby and the short hike to the Easter cave. Overall, we had a great stay which allowed us to rest between the strenuous activities and enjoy the peace and quiet of this beautiful little town.

The room was very clean. It was very hard to get into with the key. He struggled for quite some time. There were no local restaurants except for their restaurant, which supposedly opened only two days ago and had a very limited menu. The women in the restaurant did a great job trying to make a cocktail and the pizza was delicious.

They never sent us the check in information, since it’s self check in and no one is there, you need the lock box code and they never sent one. I had to drive an hour away to stay at a last second hotel instead. Also had incorrect information

Room is located in a rundown apartment building, unprofessionally furnished with IKEA furniture. Front desk shared with another hotel a few blocks away. PS, there is an oversupply of hotel rooms in Iceland. Do not book in advance - price goes down in summer.

Just a terrible experience. The shared bathroom is a disaster. One toilet and one shower for 3-4 rooms on the first floor? Are you kidding me? I checked in late and it was nearly impossible to find the key to get in. The room was tiny. Had hairballs beside the bed. No room darkening curtains? During the midnight sun in June? I think most of the folks who write reviews here rented the more private cabin in the back yard which has its own amenities. I felt like I was doing prison time. What a shame because this is the most beautiful village I stayed at in all of Iceland, and I did the Ring Road AND the Peninsula. There is an actual hotel is this fine village. More expensive but worth it.

This hotel is incredible! The prices are fantastic for what you get. I stayed in one of the apartments and the view is amazing, the town is quaint, and it’s very close to a beautiful hike. The staff was also very very friendly. I wish I had more time to explore, but everything was amazing!
