Jim - we do ask guests to take out the trash as it helps in keeping the cabins in decent shape overall. Some folks choose not to and that's fine too. I'm sorry your cabin didn't meet your expectations. Thanks for staying with us.

Yes, typically adults don't appreciate climbing to the loft as much as the kids which is why we require a verbal confirmation when making a reservation so we can clearly describe cabin options to ensure you're in the best cabin for you. Sometimes out of country guests aren't able to contact us prior to arrival. In these situations we hope you review all the cabin photos on our Web site. There are many cabin photos posted there. Hopefully you'll stay with us again and be sure to give us a call! Thanks for your business!

Amazing, simple and comfortable cabin with terrific proximity within Flagstaff. It worked perfectly as a hotel alternative and was a big hit with my daughter. We loved it and hope you do as well.

Just say No
Wall heater was knocking all night and we got no sleep. Twin beds were worn out, sagging, and could be heard creaking through the floor. Kids complained about the rock hard pillows and it ruined our vacation because we were all exhausted.

We will certainly look into the twin beds. All of our mattresses are replaced on a regular basis. We try and select "middle of the road" pillows although everyone may have different preferences. We have many pillows of different densities that we are happy to provide upon request. I truly hope your one night stay with us didn't ruin your entire vacation. Thank you for the feed back.

Grounds are beautiful. Great trails for dog-walking. Cozy cabin with everything we needed. Run by very nice people. Close to downtown Flagstaff.

Tranquility on the road
We just needed a layover during a long road trip, and we’re so glad we stayed here! Way better and more economical than any of the Flagstaff hotels (at least the ones worth staying in). We got there after the office closed but the check in was still super easy. The cabin is darling and has everything you need (you can buy fire at the main office for the wood burning furnace in the living room), and was well furnished and clean. The camp area was really quiet, the cabins are well-spaced, and the stars were brilliant at night with little to no light pollution. It was also really easy having our dog with us, and the $15 dog fee is reasonable (compare to $100 at the avg hotel). If we find ourselves in the Flagstaff area again, I think we’ll stay here again.

We booked online and wanted a place to stay with our pet. Expedia didn't filter out the "bed and breakfast" type of rooms that are not available for pets. When we checked in - they were able to move us to a cabin so that we could stay with our dog. We were very grateful for the room transfer and were lucky that there was a cabin available. So - with pets - you cannot stay in the main house - get a cabin. Very clean cabins and very functional!

We haven't had any guests stay with us with reservations booked through Orbitz. We did have a reservation recently where a gentleman thought he had booked a cabin, but had actually booked a suite. We allowed him to cancel with no fees incurred and notified him via email and phone that he had to cancel directly through Orbitz in order to receive a full-refund. I would love to address the 3 out of 5 star rating specifically, however, he didn't actually stay with us.

Quiet cabins minutes from downtown
Great, quiet and affordable cottages minutes from downtown. No TVs were found in any of the rooms, which is a great way to be able to appreciate your stay. Very friendly staff as well. Would absolutely stay here again next time we are in town.

Had a great time just the 2 of us.. because of the fire restriction we were not able to cook steaks on grill.. but went to walmart to buy an indoor grill that worked just fine.. will rent this again

The front desk receptionist was very kind. The cabin was quaint, comfy, cozy & clean. Would definitely return & recommend. Prices were a little more than other places in the area but was nice to have your own cabin instead of a room.

We stayed here just for the night and want to come back to spend a few days. Our cabin had a great view. It was quiet and comfy, no tv, the perfect escape from the real world.

As cabin Spring Break
Cabin was perfect! A bit secluded from the others, very much a cabin feeling with a porch that looks out to the woods, a mini frig, utensils and gas stove to cook a bit, small living space but ver quaint, looking forward to going back! So very quiet and peaceful to clear thoughts, rest and a great sleep!

Charming cabins in a beautiful setting
We had a wonderful stay. This was a perfect place to stay for our family of three adults. We had a two bedroom loft which suited us perfectly. The loft was spotlessly clean and very charming. We were visiting in winter and it was very warm and cosy. All the staff were welcoming and helpful. I would love to visit again.

Would Consider Again
Quaint and clean. A quiet place to stay just minutes from groceries, restaurants and sights. Just FYI, the rate they charge is based upon the number of people staying in the cabin. I had 3 adults and 2 teens. When I got there I was charged additional from what I prepaid.

Delightful cabin and was close to the airport!
The cabin was charming and clean. Thank you! We appreciated the decor, and the cooking facilities and the cleanliness. Wish we could have stayed much longer, the place felt so homey. The location was wonderful, close to Flagstaff and yet in the outback at the same time. My only recommendation is to provide recycling options for cans, bottles, etc., and directions on how to use the gas oven. Thank you for managing this lodge and cabins. Geri Drymalski

Very tired looking needs maintenance and some TLC.
We arrived early afternoon, the place was empty, tried to check in but the young girl on reception told us to drive around town for a couple of hours, we interrupted her day...lucky we saw the manager driving around the property and he let us in after he checked for "dust and mice", no mice so we were given the key. Cabin was okay fairly clean but very tired looking, very basic utensils in kitchen. The whole area is looking very tired needs some maintenance, a supply of firewood would have been nice, but you pay extra if you want a fire, it was still quite mild at night so no fire was needed. We stayed 3 nights as we were hiking in the area, glad we didn't spend too much time in the cabin, place was deserted only 2 other cabins were occupied, such a shame, the place has so much potential only a couple of miles from Flagstaff.

Cozy cabin, fabulous setting
Amazing stay! Booked the honeymoon cottage for short getaway, and what a good choice it was. Loved the fireplace, the whirlpool tub, wifi, and staff was so thoughtful! Cozy cabin, perfect for two. Adequate kitchen, including utensils, BBQ, great setting in the pines. Can't wait to come back and stay alittle longer next visit.

3 nuits dans un chalet au sein de la plus grande foret de pin d'Amérique. Idéal pour se ressourcer en pleine nature durant notre roadtrip USA après les visites des grandes villes californiennes SF et LA et avant le départ vers LV. Chalet confortable et tres bon accueil. Flagstaff offre de nombreuses possibilités pour se restaurer. Possible aussi de rester manger dans le chalet et de faire un barbecue. A 30 min, Sedona et ses paysages de western. A 1h15 du grand Canyon, tout simplement magnifique Note: Le magasin WholeFood (chaine de magasins bio) propose un vrai marché de fruits et légumes et permet de se préparer des repas corrects et bio (salad'bar tres varié pour se composer son repas). Bonne alternative aux sorties restau, steakHouse ... Attention: pas de TV dans les chalets et pas de petits déjeuner compris (malgré ce qui est indiqué par Expedia), ils sont reservés à la formule B&B pour les chambres du batiment principal. Possibilité de venir au petit dejeuner maison après inscription à l'accueil.

Just what I was looking for.
From check in to check out it was nothing less than superb. The cabins are spaced far enough apart to give privacy. The entire resort is located on beautiful acreage full of tall pines. It is located far enough from the city for quietness yet close enough for convenience. Highly recommended. Can't wait to go back.
