We had a great time. The host was accommodating and the property was ideally located for a walkable trip. We loved the board/card games on hand for family fun as well.
The cabin had everything wet needed plus of kitchen needs and was clean and ready to use. The totals were nice! Easy to walk to dinner and made a great home base for our trip. Bonus was tons of board games to fill the down time
Perfect size for our group. Location was great when it came to walking to restaurants and Main Street. Close to campus which made sound levels a little loud but nothing too crazy. Loved our stay!!
We truly enjoyed our stay, we were able to enjoy some comfortable down time and look forward to a quiet and peaceful respite in the heart of Flagstaff when returning from our adventures! As artists we always appreciate an original and quirky aesthetic, and this place had that in spades! The location is very walkable and close to downtown and campus life, and shopping (grocery, Walmart, etc) can be found a short drive away.
We thought the property was so cute and unique! The location was amazing, so close to all our favorite downtown spots! Check in and out was a breeze. We would love to stay here again!
Overall everything was good. Checking in was extremely easy and they had a full kitchen filled with everything you could need as well as games and a great guide book. I was thrown off at first not realizing there was a few rentals on site but they were a non issue noise or parking wise. Inside the cabin was nice but did get a touch hot during the day even with the AC set to the requested minimum of 70 degrees because there’s no ceiling fans but the small plug in fans helped some. The two things holding me back from a 5 star review are the blinds and the shower. one of the bedrooms faces east and is also right along a relatively busy road and the “blinds” and curtains do very little to block the light so you see headlights from every car driving by and you are getting woken up whenever the sun rises. The shower also is a very nice looking clawfoot bathtub/ combo but practically the curtains aren’t doing much to keep the water in and it’s kind of awkward maneuvering inside the fairly narrow space to not make a mess. Playing with the separate hot and cold knobs was also a delicate balancing act between scorching and ice cold. Overall, enjoyed the place and great location but a few minor things could be improved to make it a much better experience.
We arrived in on a Friday. I did not realize how close it was to the college. It literally butts up to their property.. If you are coming for activities to do with the university, this would be the place to stay. We decided to walk to town to get something to eat. It is approximately a 10-12 minute walk which generally isn’t bad. It had started to get dark on our walk and it became uncomfortable walking….we were two women alone and there were several individuals that were on the sidewalks that could have made it unsafe. We had to Uber back to the property. I am not sure but there might have been a game of some sort happening at the university. There were people all over the streets in front of the property and down to some local bars. The screaming and carrying on went from on well after 3:30! In the morning making it impossible to sleep. The property owners did supply ear plugs but those were completely ineffective.
We were there Saturday evening also. It was not quite as loud but the noise did carry on through the night until the wee hours of the morning.
Property was adequately stocked and was rustic.
One suggestion I would have for management is the window in the back door to the kitchen; I was so surprised that it was not covered with either a curtain or contact paper directly over the window so no one could look in. It definitely made us feel uncomfortable.
House location was easy to find in a quiet neighborhood right across from the university and walking distance from all of the downtown shops. The beds were firm and cozy. The house was adorably quirky in its decor. The claw foot bathtub was a great extra and the water was smoking hot. Which was awesome. The space itself was much larger on the inside than we had anticipated and the bedrooms were spaced far enough apart that my husband's snoring didn't wake my son in the other room once! Which is an issue we usually deal with when staying in a hotel. We will definitely book the property again in the future as we come up to flag at least once a year. Oh, and the price, so affordable!
We really enjoyed our stay at the Cabin. It is centrally located to the University as well as the downtown area. We were able to walk downtown for Coffee in the morning and also find Breweries in the evenings. The owners were quick to answer questions and were available when needed.
This house was very cute and located right at the edge of campus. A bit further from downtown than we'd like and parking was a bit tight, but overall a great place to stay
Nice cozy cottage. Well stocked. Right by NAU literally and walking distance from downtown shops and restaurants. VERY COMFORTABLE beds and bedding in both rooms, slept like a baby!
Stayed here for a long weekend in Flagstaff. The location is perfect as a home base for exploring downtown and NAU. Home is comfortable and plenty of space for our family to relax. If staying in the winter bring slippers! Please also note there is only 1 TV in the living room. No TV in the bedrooms. Kitchen had everything we needed.
House is wonderful and cozy. Very easy walking to downtown flagstaff for dinner or a walk around NAU. House is easy to relax in for a night in as well. Has all the comforts of home! I would highly recommend staying here for your next trip to Flagstaff!
