Just 6 miles from downtown Flagstaff which sits at 7000 feet and just 80 miles from the Grand Canyon and 20 miles north of Sedona. It's also just over 2 hours North to Lake Powell, Antelope Canyon and Horseshoe Bend. All can be amazing day trips. Flagstaff is truly the "gateway to Northern Arizona" and this is your perfect BASECAMP to see every amazing place Northern Arizona has to offer.
Rejuvenate and rest after exploring greater Northern Arizona, in this civilized log cabin BASECAMP. Feel free to relax in the hammock in the back yard and watch the clouds or maybe take in a starry night sky around the back yard fire ring.

There is a a large front and rear patio to take in the scent of the surrounding pines. Breakfast, lunch, "happy hour" and dinner can be enjoyed from the seating on the rear deck. Take advantage of the nicely appointed kitchen to make that special someone a beautiful breakfast.
ENJOY! the complimentary coffee and tea service. Coffee, teas, cream and sugar, honey, and fresh baked goods provided to every vacationing guest to make you feel at home and special.
The Basecamp, is rustic enough to connect with the spirit of Northern Arizona, and just enough off the beaten path to relish in the seclusion, yet still conveniently located. If you prefer to stay somewhere a little more unique, The Basecamp is your place!
The Basecamp is ideally located to downtown Flagstaff, Grand Canyon, Sedona, and several national monuments, and national forests.
Basecamp is a dog friendly facility. The backyard is completely fenced in. We are not other animal friendly so no cats, gerbils, snakes, lizards or other friends.
My neighbor brought to my attention that some of the pet owners have left their dogs in the back yard all day barking. This had me questioning my dog friendly policy. I have decide to keep allowing dogs but ask that as pet owners you be respectful to my neighbors and keep the pooches barking under control.
The Basecamp, does not have air conditioning. There are two fans including a ceiling fan in the master bedroom, also flagstaff is nice and cool in the evenings so when you open a couple of windows you get a nice cross breeze.
Flagstaff can cool down at nights so bring enough covering to be comfortable in the evening hours and do remember we are at 7,000 feet, which takes time to adjust to this elevation for some. Be kind to yourself if you feel a bit out of breath, a nice walk downtown and the fresh mountain air will be a big help and real treat, enjoy!
