This vacation get-away is built for comfort and convenience inside; nature appreciation outside. The large sun deck includes a propane grill, plus furniture for lounging and dining. You won't know true relaxation until you've been in a hot tub in the woods, surrounded by trees and mountain laurels, with a massive dome of stars above. Unlike many mountain cabins, this home also offers a grassy yard for the kids and dogs to run around in!
Bear's Den is a true log cabin, with wood walls and beamed ceilings. Its inviting open floorplan facilitates entertainment and family togetherness. You'll love the leather furniture, large stone fireplace and well-equipped kitchen, designed to make you feel at home. Off the great room you'll find two spacious bedroom suites, with queen-size beds and their own bathrooms. Each bath offers a Jacuzzi soaking tub and separate walk-in shower.
At the end of an eventful day, snuggle by the cozy fireplace, play games or watch TV. The home comes complete with wi-fi, satellite, and a flatscreen TV in both bedrooms, as well as in the great room.
The nearby New River lets you enjoy fishing, swimming, tubing, kayaking and canoeing. If you're not set up for river fun, both the RiverGirl Fishing Company and the New River Outpost in nearby Todd are eager to hook you up with everything you need. Out on the river, feast your eyes on abundant wildflowers, inspiring mountain scenery and excellent birding.
Within a scenic 10 minute drive you'll find the community of Todd, known for its old-time charm, with bluegrass entertainment, and arts and crafts festivals throughout the season.?If you're feeling energetic, take a picturesque bicycle ride on Railroad Grade Road, a 10-mile stretch along the winding New River – voted one of the 10 Best Bike Paths in North Carolina.
