Depending on where you're coming from, your flight to Langtang could be as easy as pie or it could go on forever. We've put together some tips that will help you start your next great escape on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- The trick to having an awesome flight experience is to pack ahead. So, let's start with the basics: passport, official ID, credit cards and important medications. Next, bring items that'll help keep you busy, like your laptop or a thrilling novel. It's also smart to bring your chargers, a neck pillow and a pair of earplugs. Finally, be sure to pop in toiletries like a toothbrush, cleansing wipes and a fresh set of clothes.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Leave all your full-sized bottles of hair gel and hairspray in your checked luggage. Any liquids in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres) will be confiscated by security. Sharp or pointed objects, like a pocket knife, and dangerous products which are flammable or explosive, such as aerosol cans, spray paint and fuels, are also not allowed.
What to wear on a flight:
- Your aim is to feel as comfortable as possible. Opt for shoes that are easy to slip on and off, dress in loose, natural fibers and remember to take a sweater in case it gets cold in the cabin.
- It's likely you've heard about deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clotting condition caused by long periods of sitting. To lessen your risk on board, stay hydrated, consider wearing compression socks or tights and move your lower limbs often.
