Our apartment is located in the center of Florence, less than 6-minutes walking distance from the Duomo.
It was built during the Renaissance period, likely a home to a nobleman during that time who built the home after the Medici family moved to the same street to build their palace (4-minute walk towards the Duomo). The nearest square is Piazza San Marco, which is one of the more popular squares in Florence, with transportation and cafes.
Our apartment has 2-bedrooms; however, we are only making available for guests the master bedroom and we will keep the second bedroom locked (the locked bedroom is our small children's bedroom). The second bedroom is not included in the rental, nor is it included in the photos we provided. You will be able to access the entire space, except for the second bedroom.
The apartment, located on the first floor (first floor in Italy is the same as the second floor in the United States), is believed by scholars to once be a nobleman's home during the Renaissance, who likely owned the entire building. You will note that each rising floor gets smaller in height, with the second and third floors likely to be the home of the nobleman's children, and the fourth floor being the home to the servants. Also, right around the corner is the museum where Michelangelo's original "David" sculpture is on display. The list goes on and on with how special the location is, and we hope our guests take advantage of the wonderful opportunity to stay at our home in Florence.
I am also American, and it is always easy to communicate with me via WhatsApp. If you need any help during your stay, you can contact me, and either I, or my in-laws (residents of Florence), will immediately help you.
