The perfect central location

This very clean apartment served us for homebase while visiting Florence. It is across the street from the Mercato Centrale which provided access to a few inexpensive meals. A food court Italian style. There are also several restaurants , the train station and city buses within walking distance. It is also within 10 to 15 minutes walk from all the sights. Our host, Gabriel was very accommodating and thoughtful enough to leave a book in the apartment suggesting places to eat on a gluten free diet for me. Simply a delightful find. I would return here in a heart beat.

Gabriele was a wonderful host! The apartment was exactly as expected. The location was perfect.

We very much enjoyed our stay at “Catarina”. Gabriel was very gracious and helpful. The apartment was clean and centrally located. We enjoyed the Mercato Centrale across the street and several restaurants right in the neighborhood. We will definitely be back on our next visit to Florence.

Excellent historic apartment and location

It was a pleasure to meet Gabriel and stay in the beautiful apartment, the location was very convenient as well. We enjoyed the food and fresh groceries at Mercato Centrale. Hopefully we can return to Florence and would love to stay here again.

Central Market across

We stayed at this apartment for two weeks and loved it. The big market across the street is very convenient. Quick walk to the train station and the Duomo!

Well located

Gabiele's listing is great. He was very welcoming and was always available. Communication was perfect. His place is very cozy, extremely well-located (it is within walking distance to all major tourist locations in Florence) and it was remarkably clean. The flat offers everything you might need. There are great restaurants nearby. I recommend it a lot.

Feel like home

This place is PERFECT! You can easily walk to all the places! I spent 4 nights here with my Boyfriend and we enjoy a lot Florence and the experience to stay in an apartment that makes you feel like home. We discover the small city with all detail, we even enjoy to see the people rushing because they spent here for a few hours. Clean, big (more than enough for 2 people), amazing! Recommended 100%

Perfect spot for Florence

Loved our stay

We want to thank Gabriele for letting stay in his apartment! The apartment was bigger than we expected. Great space to prepare simple meals. The location was amazing, close to historical sites (walking) and transportation! Gabriele made us feel very welcome!! He waited for us to arrive. We felt his apartment was perfect for us. The market is truly across the street. The second floor of the market stays open till midnight (I think). They have dinner, drinks and desserts available there. There’s a small cafe across the street past the leather seller stalls called Coffe and Kitchen, that we had a great American breakfast every day. All we can say us we loved our stay at Gabriele’s. Thank you so much, Gabriele!!

Beautiful

This is the perfect location from which to explore Florence. Really close to the Duomo, the central station and opposite the market with its fantastic food hall upstairs (open until Midnight). we'd definitely stay again, so it's not a deal-breaker. The accommodation is full of character, well laid out and has all you need for an enjoyable trip to such a beautiful city.

Recommend

Caterina apartment was in the perfect location! It is right next to the Central Market and has heaps of restaurants right outside. We would highly recommend staying here as a first time visitor to Florence. Easy walk from train station, easy walk to all the sights. Gabriele was flexible with check in and check out time. He welcomed us and made us feel at home. The flat is exactly as described in the listing. The flat is great value for money. Although it is small, it is in an amazing location. It is super clean and comfy.

Nice and quiete

Apartamento excelente, muito bem localizado. Instalação completa. Box do chuveiro é um pouco pequeno (todas as hospedagens que ficamos na Itália eram pequenos). O mercado em frente é maravilhoso local para comer, beber e comprar queijos e carnes.

Accogliente !!

Gabriele è stato molto gentile e disponibile, l'appartamento è perfetto per le coppie, pulitissimo e accogliente, la posizione è ottima soprattutto per chi arriva in treno. In 10 minuti a piedi si raggiungono tutte le attrazioni principali di Firenze, consigliatissimo!!

Wow !

Wow! When you can leave the front door and within minutes are standing in what must be considered one of the most beautiful parts of Florence you know you have a winner. Gabriele's apartment was awesome, loved the layout and with the market place so close the offerings of food, fresh produce and of course shopping you have everything. Florence was the last stop on our month long stay in Italy and this ended what has been a brilliant holiday. Thanks Gabriele for the use of your beautiful apartment. Great location

This house is a great location. It's right across the street from the market, and down the street from the Duomo and David. We walked everywhere very easily. The apartment itself is very cute and the pictures were accurate. Gabriele was very helpful and kind and accommodated our needs well. The stairs in the apartment are a little steep, which was not a problem. I was only thinking that my parents would not have been able to stay at this location because they may have difficulty with the stairs. The bed was comfortable the water was hot and we felt safe the whole time.

Wonderful flat in the Mercado Centrale area.

We had a great stay in the Catarina flat. It was a short walk from the Santa Maria Novella train station and very convenient to most everything we wanted to see. Gabriele met us with the key when we arrived and showed us around the flat. There is a notebook with a map and restaurant suggestions. The flat was clean, the bed was comfortable and the bathroom was updated. The sofa makes into a bed but we didn't need to use it. The area is quite busy but when we closed the shutters at night we didn't hear a thing. There are so many restaurant options within two blocks plus the Mercado has a great food court. We ate at the restaurant just to the right of the flat door twice. It was excellent! We would absolutely stay here again!

Great Location

This apartment is in a great location. Florence is easy to walk, but this apartment is right across from the market so grabbing food was easy. We stayed with our son and the living room is loud so he was unable to sleep well there, but you couldn't hear the street noise in the bedroom. Therefore I would only recommend this location for two people. The bathroom would be better if there were some shelves between the mirror (above the sink) and the shower for some storage. The shower was small and the were broken, but luckily my husband is handy and could get it to stay for us. The brick exposed walls provide a nice look and the pictures provided on the site are illustrative.
