Just a few blocks from the Duomo and they offer parking, which is great. Not the most welcoming staff at the reception, but he did his job and came across more friendly after a couple of minutes. Breakfast area needs an upgrade, but the man responsible for the breakfast was so friendly and saved the total

This was our first visit to Florence. The first room we were given (216) was very poor. Bedding Threadbare, Smelled of bleach Bathroom had only one light over the mirror so the rest of the very small bathroom was in the dark. The shower had fittings missing and a tile off. It was grubby overall due to being so old. The tiling and fittings looked like they were over 30 years old. It desperately needed a refurbish overall. The extractor fan bearings were worn out so it was very noisy when running. The Toilet would flush itself again a few minutes after being flushed. The curtains and net curtains were dusty and grubby. Looks like they had not been washed for many years. The staff were very good though, and agreed to move us to another room the next morning. This was much better. Although would rate it as being average rather than good. So this helped rescue the trip for us, otherwise we would have had a terrible stay.
