mistake on reservation, okay room

I arrived around midnight due to flight delay. No one answered the door bell. I called and the security answered the phone. It turnes out they gave my room away. He thought those two asia ppl eho come in were me even on the paper he showed me, it had my name. The other two ppl's names were not the same as mine. But i guess asia names look similiar. He was kind to prepare a room smaller than what i booked. It was 1:30am, i didnt have a choice. Next day morning, i requested a refund of difference bwt what i booked and what i was given. The mgr just said it was hotels.com that made a mistake and sold me a room type that were sold out. Afterwards i called hotels.com, they said it was the hotel's mistake, and i should have called hotels.com when i had the problem. Hotels.com offered a coupon. But this was not a good experience.

Excelente custo beneficio

O hotel com muito mais qualidades do que defeitos. As qualidades: staff atencioso, café da manha incluso excelente, localização, limpeza, segurança, preço. Defeitos: O hotel começa no segundo andar e o elevador não chega em todos os andares, dependendo do quarto tem que levar as malas pelas escadas. Outro ponto negativo é o WiFi, que apesar de gratuito, é muito ruim, em alguns quartos nem funciona.

Nice hotel with old world charm.

The hotel was delightful. If you are looking for flashy or modern it is not for you. But if you want old world charm, don't mind a room on the small side, then you are in for a treat. We had delightful little patio, which made the room seem bigger and more comfortable. Located in the heart of everything, in the perfect neighborhood with upscale shopping and affordabke markets nearby. Breakfast was good and staff very warm and helpful!

Great location

This hotel was close to all the major historical sites and was in a great neighbourhood. The room itself was quite large, but the bathroom was tiny. I wish they took a foot or 2 away from the room itself and extended the size of the bathroom.

普通に過ごしやすいホテルでした。部屋は広かったです。既知でしたが、シャワーだけでした。蚊がいましたがベープがおいてありました。屋上のポーチが気持ちよかったです。コンセントが少ないです。朝食はコンチネンタルで普通です。価格の割には良かったと思います。

Excellent location

Overall the hotel is fine. It has a friendly staff, clean, a nice breakfast, and in a very good location. However, the beds were stiff, the pillows flat, and for some reason no shower curtain to prevent water from getting all over the floor in the morining.

Great Location, good hotel.

Great place for accessing everything important in Florence. We could easily go back for a mid day rest, or drink on the patio. It is a simple place, nothing fancy. They will keep your luggage in the lounge (not locked up) if you check out but leave your luggage. Convenient and pretty safe since it is 2 floors up.Breakfast was standard. Staff was polite, but not overly friendly. I would stay there again.

Felt like a hostel room...Clogged plumbing!

Husband and I needed to stay 1 night in Florence for a wedding, and we chose this hotel as it was really close to where the Bridal party was staying, price seemed decent as the hotel is located on the very fancy Via Tornaubouni street. The room was small, had a bleach smell to it and had ABSOLUTELY NO OUTLETS to charge our electronics. We had to unplug the TV and mini fridge to have access to a plug. The bathroom looked like an airplane bathroom, the sink and shower would back up within a second of its use... and to top it off, the shower was covered in mold. UGH..make sure to use flip flops if you dare shower. Im surprised the breakfast was actually decent and included.. so thats why I'll give it a 2 versus 1 star.. It felt like a very expensive Hostel room...

An excellent hotel in Florence

We stayed in this hotel for three nights, and were very happy. The room was nice, reasonable size for Europe. Breakfast was very good. The breakfast room was a little small, but they managed the space really well. The location is excellent, and they have a terrace on the roof, where you can bring your own food and drink if you wish. I would stay there again, just for the terrace. It was really nice to sit up there, having a beer and relaxing. When we arrived, there was an issue with the elevator. I had carried our suitcases up two flights of stairs when the gentleman at the front desk realized what was happening, and he got the elevator working, and carried our bags up the final flight of stairs (see next para). Very friendly, excellent service. We were on the top floor, the elevator does not go to this floor. I wouldn`t recommend this floor for anyone with any type of mobility issues, but I think they may have put us up there (only a few rooms on that floor) after they saw us climb a couple of flights of stairs with our suitcases (i.e. we had no issues). Overall, very happy with this hotel and would recommend it to anyone.

Nice hotel

The elevator had a sign that said out of order, we had to walk 125 steps to our room each time. The bathroom in our room needs to be remodeled. It is too small and the whole bathroom is blue, the ceiling, floor and walls and the shower doors were broken. The breakfast was good. Nice choice. The lady taking care of the breakfast was very nice and helpful. We used the roof top deck which was very nice. The daytime lady at the front desk was not very pleasant or helpful but the front desk man at night was very nice.

Heart of Florence

lovely little hotel right in the heart of Florence. Very quaint. Nice people. Great Roof deck If you want to buy a bottle of wine & some food to eat while looking over the rooftops' Excellent supermarket/deli on the other side of Ponta Vechio to get some lovely things for this. Would definitely return to this hotel.

The service, location and value for money were fantastic. However, the breakfast was pretty poor in comparison to other hotels in Italy.
