Molto sotto le aspettative

La casa è in una bella posizione con una piacevole vista sulla valle. È una casa grande, ma la quinta stanza ed il terzo bagno si trovano in una una casetta accanto alla villa e quindi non facilmente fruibili e non messe a disposizione se non esplicitamente richiesto. Le stanze della casa sono 4 ed i bagni sono due, uno per piano. La piscina sarebbe bella, ma è trascurata e difetta di manutenzione, così come lettini ed ombrelloni, diversi tra loro e rotti. Il giardino meriterebbe maggior cura, perché pieno di tappi di birra e sigarette. Il barbecue è inutilizzabile per totale mancanza di igiene, tanto è vero che quando ne abbiamo richiesto la pulizia, la signora addetta non sapeva nemmeno che esistesse. All’interno, la casa si presenta ammobiliata con arredamento vecchio ed impolverato. Cucina con attrezzatura datata e padelle e pentole inutilizzabili. A seguito delle nostre rimostranze, la proprietaria è stata però disponibile a farci riacquistare le padelle a sue spese. Al nostro arrivo abbiamo purtroppo scoperto che un piatto e una pentola nella credenza erano sporche di cibo e la cucina era invasa dalle formiche. È stato necessario ripulire interamente la cucina. Le formiche ci hanno accompagnato nel corso del nostro soggiorno, costringendoci a buttare il cibo appena acquistato, fare continue pulizie, purtroppo inutili perché la casa ne è completamente infestata. Altro problema sono i calabroni e le vespe che popolano il giardino dove hanno nidificato e per i quali però c’è stato il pronto intervento della persona addetta. Nelle stanze ci sono solo pochi cassetti per la biancheria e nessun armadio, fatta eccezione per una stanza. L’aria condizionata è solo in due camere da letto, per le altre sono a disposizione dei ventilatori vecchi e pieni di polvere e laniccia. Non ci sono posti in cui appendere gli asciugamani, e alcune prese non funzionano perché l’impianto elettrico è molto datato. Riteniamo che la casa sia potenzialmente bella, ma purtroppo con troppe lacune e mal gestita a fronte di una richiesta economica assolutamente sproporzionata ed eccessiva. Nonostante la proprietaria mi abbia detto che la casa era stata affittata da maggio, si vede chiaramente che non c’è alcun reinvestimento nel suo mantenimento e cura. Abbiamo basato la nostra scelta sulla base delle foto pubblicate che sono ingannevoli e mostrano una casa probabilmente di qualche anno fa.

Mooi huis in prachtige en rustige omgeving

Wij hebben met familie van 9 personen (2 pubers en 2 kleine kinderen) een heerlijke vakantieweek gehad in het mooie huis. Uitstapjes naar Rome zijn prima te doen. Vooral de grote tuin met zwembad waren favoriet van de kinderen. Meubels zijn binnen wat gedateerd maar dat past bij deze karakteristieke woning. We misten alleen een extra douche voor na het zwemmen. TIP: een buitendouche bij het zwembad plaatsen. Locatie is de eerste keer lastig te vinden, dus vooraf een goede routebeschrijving vragen. Wat ons betreft een aanrader!

A unique holiday far from the madding crowd

We invited our family of 8, including our 1 1/2 year old granddaughter to a week in Italy, and Il Campaniletto turned out to be an ideal place for a family celebration! The villa is beautiful in its rough, Italian way with a large patio where we had all our meals overlooking the beautiful garden and the surrounding hills. When we first arrived we were a bit disappointed to find the outdoor furniture dirty with scruffylooking cushions and the patio unswept, but once we had tidied up a bit, we didn't mind. We had hoped to be able to use the annex since the bathroom downstairs was the only one with a proper shower. The bedrooms were comfortable with fans that helped keeping the rooms cool in spite of a temperature of 35 degrees and more during the day. However, these are only details and we loved the scenery, the walks to Forano (more than 400 meters, I am sure!), the hikes to Stimigliano, the easy access to a day in Rome, the friendly people who helped maintaining the garden and the pool and for Angela for giving us a nice welcome. Francesca was always helpful and quick to answer our texts.

A truly special place to stay

We absolutely loved this house - the photos don't do it justice. Everything was perfect - from the view, to the beautiful interior, even down to the proper outdoor pizza oven. Lots of interesting things to do nearby - we went into Rome by train for the day, drove to Pompeii, visited Lake Bracciano and had a wonderful lunch in Calcata. One of the best European holidays we have ever had. Thank you to Francesca for organising everything so well, and to Angela and Adriana for their help when we arrived. Ten out of ten!

The house is very spacious, there is loads of room in the garden and it is very peaceful. The pool is great. It was big enough for 8 of us to play games in. The house is great but some things need fixing e.g. the shower fell off the wall a couple of times. It would also be good to label the light switches, as there are so many of them. There are two main routes to town from the property and I would recommend going the way Angela shows you, as the other route is very steep. Angela and Florin were very helpful. It was fairly easy to get into Rome by car and we had a great time.

The house and setting is wonderful. The kitchen had the best selection of equipment I have ever.

The staff, Angela and pool guy were brilliant.The property is very remote some people might not like that but we loved that.We needed lots of bug spray so some house repellents would have been good. The hairdryers don't really work.We have no complaints these are only suggestions to improve the house, its is a wonderful holiday home.
