Room was clean, but quite old. Walls are thin enough that snoring is loud and clear from other rooms. Decor around the exterior is very lovely and kitsch--an oversized bird cage, a Christmas tree, a chameleon in his wall-attached maison. Lovely and international. The clientele is almost entirely Québécois escaping the frigid north, so a chance to practice your French on the vacationers and your Spanish on the locals. Across the street is the European Market, a massive Central and Eastern European market which features a weight-based buffet and has products from Ukraine, Poland, Turkey, Russia, and more, where you can practice your Urkanian. Massive wine and beer selection, so you might enjoy a Lvivske 1715 or a Polish Tatra malt liquor. A $50 cash deposit is required to stay at Richard's Motel. If your flight leaves at odd hours (cough, cough Spirit) you will have to go Richard's other establishment--the Richard's Hotel, a working man's hotel which is one block away to retrieve your money as they are open 24/7. It all worked out well though.

Le personnel était parfait. Nous avons apprécié le 5 a 7. Le lit très confortable. Le porte-savon de la douche était sale. Il n'y avait rien pour nettoyer la table,le comptoir de la cuisine et essuyer la vaisselle et il manquait une petite serviette dans la salle de bain. On nous a bien renseigné sur l'autobus à prendre pour l'aéroport.

The lady at the desk treated us like we were criminals, very curt and rude. We were not informed ahead of time that they required a $50 cash only deposit. Not sure many people carry cash an more. Fortunately we had the cash.The bed was aweful it was like a cloth bowl. The room was gross, poorly laid out and poorly maintained I think the sheets were clean but Im not certain. One thing we are certain of is we won't be staying here again!!

After the night, I got a rash on my legs and arms. I went to the doctor and it turned out to be from ticks. The rooms are old, rotten and the air stinks. I don't recommend it! Take care of your health.

honestly, I don't ask for much out of a hotel. A quiet room where I can get a good night's sleep is about all. your hotel failed this simple expectation. I checked in late after a long day in Miami Beach, and knew it was going to be rough as soon as I walked into the lobby and some random guy was yapping at me about my car being illegally parked in a handicapped space. I don't think he worked there but I think the desk attendant knew him. (my ADA tag was on the dashboard) Then I got to the room. The TV, or the remote, didn't work. I even changed the remote batteries with ones I had with me. So. No TV. It was late so I didn't complain. Then none of the outlets near the bed worked at all. So charging my phone where I could reach it was out of the question. Then, the AC unit rattled and clattered LOUDLY all night long. I know what PTAC units sound like, and this one's fan sounded like it was hitting something. I turned it on and off and banged on it hoping the rattle would stop. It did not. I slept maybe a total of 2 hours all night. I have not had worse stay in a motel ever in my 65 years.
