We are regular travelers to Te Awahou so we would always book a room at this particular Motel. Very convenient with the local dairy across the road and Sam's restaurant. The rooms are comfortable, clean and all amenities at our disposal. Thank you again Castletown.

I had my daughter collect the key so I could arrive at some stupid time like 1am in the morning. After hours of travel it was a pleasure go straight to bed in a comfortable tidy unit. Located on the main road it was easy to find and I would happily return there again for another stay.

After staying in 24 different locations in 28 days I found our room at Castletown Motel to be very spacious. Comfortable arm chairs and an excellent size standing table with 4 comfortable stools. And wall heater that did not make a sound. Owner was kind enough to offer to lock our motorbike away.

It might be a bit dated on the inside....BUT.......everything spotlessly clean and operational in the unit. I personally love "old school" so it wasn't a problem for me. 1 1/2hr drive north from the Wellington Interislander Ferry Terminal. A good place to stop and rest if coming off the ferry and heading north. A good 7 hr sleep, a long hot shower, cuppa coffee and I was then back on the road heading to Tauranga. Worked for me......it does every time......Start in Tauranga
