Difficult to find entrance no sign on street
Great food very comfortable and romantic. We had a problem getting on our luggage as the taxi man very unhelpful and was not able to take us down to the boat so had to drag cases through bushes down steps which was very uncomfortable.

Very nice to stay on this Beautiful ship and Wake up with the view of the river Main. I will for sure chose this for next trip to Frankfurt. Very comfortable beds and breakfast has all you can ask for.

I was moved by Expedia from a 5 star boat to a boat that was furnished and looked and sounded like a P and O Cross channel ferry for the sand money !

Housekeeping was poor specially replacement/refilling of toiletries and tea/coffee pouches. Wifi was bit of a problem but the manager solved it personally for me. It reoccurred later.

Fantastisk upplevelse på denna mysiga båt, med förstklassig service, allt man önskar till frukost, fräsch och fint. Jag är mycket nöjd och överraskad och kommer definitivt återvända när jag är i Frankfurt. Tyst och fint läge med promenadavstånd till både mässa (ca 30 min) och centrum (ca 10 min).

予約時に良く確認していなかったので、ホテルを見つけるのに苦労しましたが、最初から確認していれば、何ら問題ないです。 マイン川に浮かぶ船に宿泊したことは、良い思い出です！

Overall enjoyed our 3 night stay on the Charles Dickens, the experience was marred by the location of the boat, it should have been moored within walking distance of Christmas Market but unfortunately was moved to a good distance outside the Christmas Market area, located in an industrial dock area. Paid for a river view, got a view of a cement works. We were advised that VIP cars would be laid on to transport us into town, that turned out to be 2 mini buses with limited availability

Dear Guest, thank you for your taking time to rate your stay on our 5 star Select MS Charles Dickens Hotel ship in Frankfurt. The Wellbeing of our Guest is the most important for us .. We are sorry that we had changed our location during the period 18.11-04.12.2018 because of some diving works on the river main. As concession we offered VIP Transfer Services for our Guests with two cars, one Mercedes Vito and Ford S-Max. Our Guests had the possibility to use our Transfer Services from 07:00 until 11:00 and from 16:00 until 22:00 ... to reach or hotelship or to move to Oldtown / City Center and back ... Anyway ... this kind of situations will never happen again ... We will be in January for the Heimtextil Trade Fair again in hearth of Frankfurt in our original location Nizza Ufer and will offer our Guests with our magnificent view unforgettable night on our board. We thank you again for your choosing MS Charles Dickens hotel ship and hope to revanche you next time directly in Oldtown ... Best regards

Para nosso espanto quando chegamos à morada indicada o barco não estava lá... tinha sido mudado para outra localização bem longe do centro. Manifestando o nosso descontentamento, falamos com o representante da empresa que no momento estava a alugar o barco, uma pessoa muito pouco gentil e diplomática, ao contrario dos restantes empregados que tudo fizeram para minimizar o nosso descontentamento. Esquecendo este incidente, as instalações do hotel são fantásticas em todos os níveis. E mais uma vez gostaria de realçar a amabilidade e profissionalismo de toda a tripulação do barco que tudo fez para nos proporcionar uma óptima estadia.

トラブルを楽しめる方限定ホテル。
このホテルはボートです。フランクフルト駅から歩いて15分のところに停泊していましたが、現在は車で15分程のところに停泊しています。到着時迎えの車を依頼しましたがフランクフルト駅前のマクドナルド前で一時間半程待たされました。4回電話しましたが、すぐ向かう、5分以内で行くとかなり適当な対応をされました。部屋は綺麗ですが、一日目は送迎のクレームをつけたせいかリバービュー、二日目は岸壁側でした。窓からは何も見えず光もさしこみません。こちらもクレームしましたが、船で停泊しているのだからしょうがないだろうと言われました。部屋を予約される方は確どちらサイドか確認して予約されることをお勧めします。因みに料金は一緒です。 さらに問題は続きます。2日間Wifiが使用できませんでした。(iPhone) あとはケトルが電源ボタンを押し続けないと沸騰しないとか、シャワーブースのドアのシールが悪いのか水浸しになるは清掃した後のベッドの上には長い髪が落ちていたりなどかわいいものです。5スターホテルとのことでしたががっかりしました。12日間オランダ、ドイツ、ベリギーを旅行したホテルの中では最悪でした。コスパ悪しです。ご注意ください。

Very friendly and helpful staff. Good breakfast. Quiet. Easy access to Frankfurt by taxi or local underground (the boat had been moved for our visit from its normal mooring and therefore was slightly out of town). Very good value for money overall

Great service and hospitality great breakfast
The hotel facilities were good, the staff were most helpful, the breakfast was very good, and the staff were very helpful serving items to order such as omelets, along with coffee and tea, all were to a good standard and good portions. We were advised of a change of mooring position from the usual place due to the fire service checking the river bed for unexploded bombs from WW2, a very necessary activity even after 74 years! Whilst the harbor area is not the most idyllic, it certainly was not that bad and an easy walk along the river bank to by the ECB and many bars/restaurants. The ship was kept to a good standard and all the staff were well most helpful and accommodating and polite. We would return again

Staying at MS Charles Dickens made our whole staying in Frankfurt a time to remember. The staff is exellent and always in a good mood. Especially we want to mention the waiters at breakfast and the ones in the bar. Thanks to all of you for everything. We appreciate it.

Tyvärr var båten flyttad till en docka för reparation. Inget vi märkte av men omgivningen var trist. I och för sig fri transport till centrum, men det drar ändå ner betyget. För övrigt toppen om än ett litet rum.

Lovely ship in a poor location. Shame..!
Booked this due to dock location but was later advised this had moved due to dredging work on the river. This was totally untrue and established that they have NEVER docked at the Main Nizza. Apparently they're not permitted to dock there due to local competition. It would have been ideal. The ship was docked in Osthafen which is literally an industrial area and our outlook was over a skip recycling centre and a cement works. It was awful. Almost 2 miles from original dock area. The ship itself is lovely and plush. Our room had a small balcony but beware there are some without and the rooms are smaller. Well equipped with great shower. This ship normally operates as a mini cruise but had been sold off as a hotel. Very nice experience in all but for the awful location. Staff superb. Great breakfast. A beer in the bar costs €7.50. A taxi to old town would cost €20. A taxi from airport I would estimate at €55. There is a train station close by.

Unsere Anlegestelle war zu Fuß sehr weit von der Innenstadt entfernt. Umliegende Lokalitäten geschlossen. Die Angebote des Hotels konnten teuer genutzt werden bzw. mit dem Taxi in die Stadt. Der Shuttle Service des Hotels ist zeitlich sehr begrenzt.

Lieber Gast, als allererstens bedanken wir Ihnen, dass Sie sich Zeit genommen haben um ihre Aufenthalt zu bewerten .Leider hatten wir für die Periot vom 18.11.2018 bis 04.12.2018 eine Pflichtete Lokationsänderung zu Osthafen. Der Grund dafür sind die Taucherarbeiten und die Entschärfung der Bomben im Fluss Main ... Wir werden wieder ab Januar für die Heimtextil Messe direkt im Altstadt liegen und hoffen sie hier wider für eine Gutmachhung begrüssen zu dürfen. Mit freundlichen Grüssen

Great Hotel/ship, however the location wasn't great due to the ship having to be moved from it's normal berth, which is in a great location! Arrangements were made to taxi us around at the hotels expense due to the temporary inconvenience.Very helpful staff. Would recommend this hotel.

DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL
hotel is parked in an isolated area across from a construction company that works all night. Yasin, manager emailed as compensation for the bad area, CD would provide rides to anywhere within 2 km, BUT not so. Yasin is very difficult to deal with. Taxis would not come to the location. Breakfast was ok, service was lacking, if you want coffee be prepared to wait and wait. other meals had very limited menu and food was not of high quality. Drivers did take guest to and from hotel to the central station, one drive with glasses was rude, the other tall slender drive is very nice. Bathroom shower did not drain, flood bathroom and entry both days. Problem reported day 1 and day 2, but nothing done to fix the problem. Ladies at the front desk semi helpful and both very nice. WiFi available for only certain devices.... IPhone will NOT connect to wifi and most PC laptops will not connect. Very few TV channels, all News. Movie selections contains 6 old movies. DONOT STAY HERE

Dear Ms Scarlett S., first of all we are sorry because of our location changing .... Our plannings until 14 Nov was for the Oldtown ... after we received the message, that we can't dock for the Periot (18.11.-04.12.2018) in Oldtown ...because of diving works .... so we had just the chance to dock in Osthafen .... As we where on hurry, in our first message on 16 Nov we had first to inform that we can't dock in ... our Guests can cancel for free .....or accepting our Business Class Accommodation Offer ... We are driving from 07:00 until 11:00 and from 16:00 till 22:00 o'clock our Guests from our Hotelship trough Christmasmarket / Main Nizza Restaurant to the Central Station and we meet us again for backdrops.... It was a fair Service ... We need just your understanding our Situation, to organize everything from Oldtown to the Ostharbour was not so easy in so short time ....Ms Scarlett, we are docked almost directly in the hearth of Frankfurt and we are sure, next time we will chage your opinion about our Select MS Charles Dickens hotel ship. Hotellet og værelset var i rigtig god stand. Man kan ikke klage over udsigten fra en båd! Desværre havde hotel-båden været nød til at flytte pga. arbejde på havnen, så der var lidt langt til byen. Hotellet havde dog kompenseret for det ved at arrangerer gratis kørsel.fra hotellet til Frankfurts hovedbanegård.

Boat had moved from just outside town centre to just opposite the biggest cement factory in the area, so view a bit rubbish on one side the other side was a warehouse, so not the best position for views. In general a good stay, but would have preferred a hotel. Staff were very great. Coffee was rubbish to get a decent coffee, you had to pay, not what l would have expected on a five star establishment.

This was an unusual experience due to the location of the boat moving to an industrial area but the staff made their best efforts to make up for that fact. My first room felt a bit cave-like but upon request I was moved to a river-view room which was very lovely. I am sure that the hotel will be getting some fairly critical reviews during this time but I really felt that they tried to make it the best possible experience for this traveler.

Nach langen suchen endlich gefunden im Osthafen 1, Frankfurt. Gute Anbindung an die U6. Das Früstückszeitfenster könnte bis 10.00 Uhr ausgedehnt werden bei einer stationären Liegeplatz.

Wir müssten unsere Location nur für die Periode 18.11. - 04.12.2018 umändern, weil in dieser Zeitraum einige Tage Taucherarbeit für die Bombenentschärfung durchgeführt wird. Wie Sie schon sicher mal mitbekommen haben, werden immer wieder neue Bomben aus der ersten Weltkrieg gefunden und entschärft. Trotzallem bieten wir unsere Kunden für den kompletten Periot VIP Transfer Leistungen und bieten unsere Kunden einen angenehmen Aufenthalt in Frankfurt. Unsere buffet Frühstück wird wie erwähnt bis 09:30 anboten, wobei wir bis 10:20 Gäste in unserem Restaurant gasten .... Lieber Gast / Gästin, wir bedanken uns für ihren Wahl MS Charles Dickens und hoffen Sie nächstes mal wieder begrüssen zu dürfen. Mit freundlichen Grüssen

Schiff wurde zum Osthafen verlegt (Industriegebiet)- Mitteilung dazu einen Tag vorher. Keine Adresse und keine Telefonnummer , nach längeren Irrfahrten mit dem Taxi, es gibt Osthafen 1 und 2 , gefunden! Es wird nur englisch kommuniziert, kein Problem , aber wir sind in Deutschland! Nach der ersten Nacht, ca. 06:00 Uhr, Durchsage über Sprechanlage, dass bitte die Autos von der Eisenbahnschiene gefahren werden müssen,da sonst ein Zug nicht passieren kann, Wiederholung nach ca. 20 Minuten. Starker Lärm durch Schiffsbeladung am 2. Morgen! Es wurde für Fahrten in die Stadt ein Chattelservice angeboten, der aber am Tag nicht zu Verfügung stand. Werde dieses Experiment Hotelschiff nicht wiederholen und auch nicht empfehlen!! WLAN funktioniert nicht auf Apple Geräten! Frühstück war gut!

Herr Manfred, als allererstens bedanken wir uns für ihren Feedback. Natürlich haben Sie das bisschen recht, aber wir bitten um Ihren Verständnis. Wie es Sie überrascht hat, hat es uns noch so mehr überrascht ... In drei Tagen einen Lokationsänderung zu überleben war für uns nicht so leicht ... Da vieles in kurzer Zeit organisiert werden musste, war leider unser Detschsprächiger Manager leider nicht Vor Ort sondern musste die Organisationen übernehmen ...Dies passiert uns nicht alle Tage und dass ist auch nur ein vergängliche Lokationsänderung ... vom 18.11.2018 - 04.12.2018 bieten wir als Entschädigung unserer Kunden VIP Transfer Service an .. Vom 07:00 bis 11:00 und vom 16:00 -22:00 ,natürlich sind wir auch gerne flexibel ... Unsere 5 Sterne Hotelschiff wurde im Jahr 2015 gebaut und ist mit allem Super Ausgestattet ... Feinster Materialien wurden benutzt . .. Trotzdem versuchen wir anstatt aufzugeben unseres beste für ihren Aufenthalt ... reiche buffed frühstück am Fluss, Comfortable Zimmer, Sauna, Whirlpool, Fitness / Cardio Zimmer, Dinner A la Carte ... Es war für uns ein ganz schwerer Test, welches wir doch mit unserem anderen Verständnis vollen Kunden überstanden haben... Wir bedanken uns für ihren Besuch und verbleiben somit mit freundlichen Grüssen.

Excellent accomodation, it was a shame the boat had to dock in another port, if it was closer to old town as planned it would have been perfect. The company tried their best to accomodate all their guests with the shuttle service. The man on the desk the night we arrived was super helpful and helped us so much and made it a great stay.

Touristenfalle.... Die ganze Beschreibung ist nicht seriös, das Schiff ist nicht am Mainufer in der Stadt, sondern am Osthafen, Industriegelände. Kein Tourist will freiwillig dort übernachten. Dann heißt es die Zimmer wären mit Fluß-Aussicht oder Stadt-Aussicht, wir sahen nur vor uns eine dunkle Kaimauer. Der schriftlich versprochene Shuttle funktioniert überhaupt nicht, es fährt kein Auto stündlich, nur vormittags bis 11 Uhr, und dann später ab 16 Uhr Abholung, wir mußten mehrmals anrufen und statt 16 Uhr kam dann ein Fahrer um 17 Uhr usw. Es hieß auch man bekommt den ganzen Tag Kaffee, Tee oder Wasser an der Bar, dort war nur Out of Order, an der Rezeption das gleiche Trauerspiel, keiner versteht Deutsch und Service ist dort ein Fremdwort. Bitte keine Werbung mehr für das Schiff.

Herr Siegfried, Leider müssten wir unsere Anlegestelle für den Periot vom 18.11 - 04.12.2018 wegen der Taucherarbeiten im Main uns ins Osthafen versetzten. Es liegen immer noch Bomben von den ersten Weltkrieg in der Fluss Main und werden von speziellen Taucher entschärft und gereinigt. Wir haben den Information ebenfalls erst am 14.11.2018 von der Hafenmeisterei erhalten. Das war nicht so ganz unser Schuld. Nachdem wir die Information erhalten hatten, haben wir alle Kunden, die für uns Möglich war zu benachrichtigen auch Benachrichtigt und sogar kostenloses Stornierung angeboten. Wir haben zwei VIP Autos mit zwei Fahrer für die Transfer Services arrangiert, sodass wir unsere Kunden entweder vom Hauptbahnhof oder von unserem Originalen Location Main Nizza Restaurant abgeholt und wieder zurück gefahren haben. Das ist nicht fair Mr Siegfried ... Bitte bleiben Sie im Zukunft von unserem Hotelschiff fern, auch wenn wir im Altstadt anliegen. Gäste die unsere Effort nicht respektieren, sind bei uns nicht willkommen. Wir bieten Gelegentlich einen super Aufenthalt ...Unsere Bar & Lounge Bereich ist ab 17:00 Uhr bis je auf Wunsch 00:00 - 01:00 offen und bietet mit Panorama Fenstern einen anderen Ambiente als Gewöhnt. Nur weil wir einmal in Schwierigkeiten lagen, brauchen Sie nicht gleich so zu benennen. Sie hatten den kostenlosen Stornierungsrecht !!!!

A localização da ancoragem do barco mudou dois dias antes da minha chegada. Foram oferecidos transporte gratuito ou cancelamento grátis em caso de desistência. Aceitamos a mudança, mas foi um pouco decepcionante. A nova localização era de fácil mobilidade graças ao ótimo sistema de transportes de Frankfurt, mas a vista era horrível por ser na parte portuária.

Dear Ms Fernanda First of all, we apologize for the change in our original location and the circumstances you would have to experience. short notice, and we had to change a lot. Since the safety of our customers is also very important, we unfortunately have no chance for the period from 18.11 to 04.12.2018 in the old town. Wegen Bombenräumung war das Schiff an.einen anderen Standort. Das wurde kaum kommuniziert. Shuttle Service unpünktlich. Personal sprach kein Deutsch und nur relativ schlecht Englisch.

Sehr geehrte Herr Christoph, als allererstens entschuldigen wir uns von Ihnen weger die Umstände .... Das passiert uns wirklich so selten , dass wir es kaum nennen können..(18.11-04.12.2018 ) Leider wurden wir auch in letzter Minute über die Taucherarbeiten informiert, sodass wir sofort alle Kunden informiert haben und auch kostenloses Stornierungsrecht angeboten. Da wir ein Internationales Unternehmen sind, sprechen unsere Mitarbeiter meistens nur English. Unser Hotelmanager, der Fliessend Deutsch sprechen kann, war leider die ersten Tage weger der Lokationsänderung unterwegs und so beschäftigt, damit unsere Kunden trotz allem einen angenehmen Aufenthalt erleben können. Wir haben sofort zwei VIP Autos und Fahrer arrangiert ... Natürlich kommt es in den ersten Tagen bisschen zu Verzögerung, denn diese war auch für uns eine neue Erfahrung. Trotzallem haben wir unseren Kunden einen Business Class Übernachtung angeboten, von Transfer bis zu unsere spezielle buffed Frühstück ... In Namen von der der Select MS Charles Dickens Familie haben wir wirklich in so kurzer Zeit arrangiert, dass es sonst keiner schaffen konnte .... I would not recommend. If you have reservations I would cancel them. Issues with my late November 2018 stay include: Location: the new location is TERRIBLE. it an industrial/warehouse/shipping area. The city view side of the ship faces a wall. We booked a suite so had about 6 inches space where we could also see care tires. If you are in a standard room - it’s a wall. If you pay extra for river view you get an amazing view of garbage, dirt pile, and warehouses. The company (Y.C.) knew there would be a location change about a week before my stay, and emailed me, promising to make it right by offering 24 hour vip car service. They sent an email apologizing and saying they’d do everything they could to make it right. The boat has historically been in a very convenient (and beautiful park-like location), but was moved to an area with medium pollution and industry. The 24/7 on demand car service was supposed to be an apology. When I went to take advantage, I was told it’s between 7am and 11am and then 4 pm to 10, with limited stops (McDonald’s is one of them) and hourly service. Not on demand and only goes to limited places. It was actually not available when we needed it. We were told where to find the closest train stop or we could “just cancel” (this is after we had stayed one night, with one to go, and wanted to take advantage of this “apology” service). The manager Y.C. was very surly when I reminded him this “vip car” service was an apology for the location change.

Dear guest, First and foremost, we thank you for taking the time to rate your stay. We were notified by the harbor master as well as you very late, so we hardly had time to notify you earlier. If we were as planned in the old town, you would not be able to rate like so ... That we find unfair ... In the river Main there are bombs from the first World War, which must be defused ... In our original location are working professional divings ... We are located in the old town with our 5 star hotel ship MS Charles Dickens and offer our customers an unforgettable stay. Just because we got into trouble once, we wanted your understanding ... not anymore !! In three days we had to inform all our customers, organize ourselves how we can make our customers happy in spite of all the obstacles ... Our crew members driver with two cars almost all day for our customer confidence... Our manager YC has maybe not slept for 5 days ... Only for the benefit of his customers ... We think that's really unfair ... We hardly experience such situations ... Dear guest, we will see the sunshine again rise up ... dont be worried ... Best regards

Die Unterkunft war gut, das Frühstück super, der Preis angemessen. Nicht gefallen hat mir die zu laute Klimaanlage im Zimmer, die nicht auszustellen war. Außerdem hatte das Schiff seinen Standort verändert, ohne dass ich informiert wurde... das geht gar nicht, wobei ich nicht weiß wer mich hätte benachrichtigen müssen

Lieber Gast / Gästin, leider wurden wir wegen der Lokationsänderung genauso wie Sie sehr spät informiert. Wir haben an dem selben Tag allen unseren Kunden einen Rundmail mit unserem neuen Lokation und bezüglich unserer VIP Transfer Service zugeschickt ... Genauso hatten unsere Kunden das Recht ihre Reservierungen kostenlos zu stornieren. Da viele unserer Kunden trotzdem am board geblieben sind, haben wir als Entschädigung für den ganzen Periot VIP Transfer Leistungen angeboten. Leider gab es ein missverständnis bei der Kommunikation .... Unsere Lokationsänderung gilt nur für den Periot von 18.11. - 04.12.2018, da Taucherarbeiten in der Fluss Main durchgeführt werden. Wären wir nur für 1- 4 Tage da, hätten wir sicher kein Problem gehabt da anzulegen... Da wir bisschen länger als Hotel dienen, müssten wir ansonsten 3 mal unsere Lokation umändern, was für uns und die Kunden absolut nicht in Frage gekommen wäre .. Trotzdem hoffen wir dass es Ihnen in unserem 5 Sterne Hotelschiff gefallen hat und hoffen Sie nächstes mal in der Altstadt zu begrüssen. Mit freundlichen Grüssen

Es handelt sich ja um ein Hotelschiff, was leider nicht am angedachten Kai in der Nähe der Altstadt Frankfurt lag, sondern im Osthafen. Abends war es eher "dunkel" in der Umgebung und für Frauen aus meiner Sicht problematisch. Das Personal spricht kein Deutsch. Beim Check-In wurde ich nicht auf den W-Lan Code hingewiesen und auch nicht über die Frühstuckszeiten informiert. Es fehlte generell auch die Information über die Annehmlichkeiten des "Hotels", wie Bar, Sauna, Fitness etc. Die Kajüte war klein aber nett und sauber.

Leider mussten wir unsere Location für den Periot vom 18.11 bis 04.12.2018 in letzter Minute zu Osthafen umändern, denn die Hafenmeisterei von Frankfurt hat uns nicht die Genehmigung gegeben, uns da anzulegen. Unser Hotel Manager war auch weger die unerwarteten Organisationen so Unterwegs, dass er wirklich alles gab für unsere Kunden. Ab Januar sind wir wieder in unserem originalen Lage, im Altstadt vor der Main Nizza Restaurant und hoffen Sie hier wieder zu Willkommen zu heißen um Sie zu begeistern zu. können ...
