“Visiting to ride the Texas State Railroad in Palestine and wanted a family friendly option close to Tyler and on the water. The house has everything you need, loved fishing from the dock and making s’mores in the fire pit.”

“Great location! Lots of indoor and outdoor spaces to enjoy with the siblings. Frank responded quickly to solve our check in issue. Our fishing members were rewarded with a catfish and several perch. And when we went into Frankston, we enjoyed the (surprise) arts and crafts in the town square. Our only disappointment was that the house was not as updated as the one we rented last year.”

“We stayed at Linda's house for a THSBA State tournament weekend. Her property had enough room to accommodate a boat trailer and we were even able to park it under the cover. The house is huge! Enough room for the boys to be able to spread out each night after fishing all day. One concern we always jave pulling a boat through neighborhoods is the roads, the roads to and from the house are perfect woth no issues. The location is within 10 minutes of any boat lauch from mid lake to the dam. If……

“I came to this lovely little lake house for a weekend with friends. We had a great time and the home was perfect for three adults. We caught a few fish each morning and enjoyed the view of the water from the house. Overall a great weekend!”

“Such a great hidden gem! Like others, online pictures do not sue it justice. Three bed rooms were large and comfortable but the master is massive! Nice are for kids to play and sleep in loft. Fishing, canoeing was a fav along with sitting in porch in rockers. We had a fire each night too! Great olace!”

“It was a wonderful stay! The Cottage has such nice touches and finishes. They think of everything you could need. I ordered a flower arrangement, fire side s'more's, fresh fruits and pastries. All of it was phenomenal. The owner is very kind and accessible. The outside hot tub was so relaxing and the fire pit was so enjoyable. I recommend this place to anyone that’s looking for a peaceful getaway.”

“This was our second stay at this property. We were at the house back-to-back weekends to prepare for my son's bass fishing tournament and then compete in the 2 day event on 5/18 and 5/19. The house was perfect for our needs as the private neighborhood boat ramp allowed us to launch near our primary fishing location.”

“Just finished our weekend. It truly was a paradise on the Palestine. House was clean and well decorated. We spent our time around the fire pit. We fished and kayaked. Plenty of space in doors and out for our group of 9. The owner was very upfront about to expect bugs so that was not a shock to us when bugs came in when we opened doors and didn’t bother us like some reviews. The house is surrounded by trees and it’s a nature lovers dream. The sights and sounds of the ducks and geese flying over……

“Nice property with a lot of amenities, although I didn't use most. My stay was brief, I needed a place to stay overnight after going to a concert. One note is that maps will take you to the owners drive, the actual drive way for the camp site is a little further down the road. I would stay again.”

“This is a great place for two to getaway and relax. It rained for most of our stay, but we made the most of it hanging out on the front porch under the trees and watching movies late into the night. It is very quiet and has a secluded feel even though there are other cabins nearby. We'll be back.”
