"Staff very helpful "

"Staff were friendly, nice hotel, adapted from a house, so you'll have a couple of stairs to climb. Southsea land marks are very walkable. Parking is a bit tight. Still worth using as a base of operations."

"Great location for sightseeing/shopping.All within a 15-20 min walk or 5 minutes by car. Very basic welcome on reception.If a welcome at all!Departure was just the same.A simple “I hope you enjoyed your stay “ would have been appreciated but all the young man said was thanks when handing back the room cards. The room was clean and compact.Space is an issue particularly in the shower/toilet.The toilet itself is at an awkward angle in the corner which I imagine would not be easy to use especially if you are of a larger build.The port hole window in the shower room amused me as it looks like a washing machine door and opens like one. Bed was comfy with extra pillow provided if needed. We had booked in for 2 nights and dined at the restaurant the 2nd night and can not fault the food we ordered.It was delicious and fairly priced. Overall the stay was okay.Would I stay again,most probably yes.Would I recommend,yes I would with the emphasis on the very tight tiny toilet.:)"

"A lovely hotel, with a great breakfast and parking. Great location for those who enjoy shopping, eating out and viastal walks."

"Rooms were good , corridors were very shabby but in the process of refurbishment so could be overlooked.. breakfast was very good but quite expensive "

"limited parking at the hotel. we did get in because of early arrival. although there are closer shops. southsea town centre is only 8 to 10 minutes walk from the hotel. "

"We were allowed 2 pets with just a 25 payment for 1 as they already allow 1 in the pricing, location is central and ideal, hosts were great and the house was spotless "

"Room was clean, but a little smelly after running the tap. Wardrobe was ridiculously small, like an armoir rather than a wardrobe. My dresses didn’t fit. Luckily radiator in bedroom was adjustable as it was very warm. Heaps of tea and coffee but we had to pop our fresh milk onto the windowsill outside as no fridge in room. Staff were excellent Slept well despite what appeared to be someone playing (badly) the last post on a cornet, down the hall."
