My brothers and I do a fishing trip every year to Star Valley and this is the first time we stayed at this location. We were blown away by the space, location, and the proximity to the river. This gave us plenty of time to fish and just hang out when we were done for the day. All of us were able to have our own beds which were very comfortable and allowed us all a great night sleep. I have been fishing the Salt River for over 25 years and this was the best fishing I have ever experienced. Can’t wait to book this for our trip again next year.

This house was great! The kitchen was well appointed, there was plenty of room for all my guests, the living areas were large and we all enjoyed it so much! The property feels very private with a great expanse of open space around the house. I would highly recommend this house!

Our stay at the cabin was great! We enjoyed all the fun summer activities offered by the Star Valley and Jackson area. My 9 year old caught his first fish on his fly rod on the river at the cabin - a memory he will always have with him!
Thanks for a great stay - the cabin was beautiful and we enjoyed every minute.

Cabin met my family's needs nicely. Plenty of room and great privacy. We found good fishing on Grey and Little Grey as well as several streams in Idaho. Salt River had poor access and was murky. Spent time in Diggs, ID and Jackson, WY.
Thank you for the opportunity to enjoy your property.

My family spent Christmas 2022 here and it was everything we had hoped for. The cabin is very nice, with amazing views of mountains. The cabin is about a 45-60 minute drive to Jackson Hole, with the smaller town of Alpine being about a 20 minute drive. Eric (owner) is very good with communicating and very patiently answered all our questions about the house and activities to do while we were there. There's plenty of snow in December, so if you want a winter wonderland, this is it. We would definitely stay here again.

My family and I had a great time! We went to Jackson a few times. Took the kids Tubing up at the tubing hill. We got about 2 1/2 feet of snow on New Year’s Day and there was someone there first thing the day after to plow driveway. Thank you

As a family of four, arriving at the beautiful log home in Thayne was a vacation dream. The home was immaculate and had more than enough space for all of us to spread out and truly enjoy both family and individual time. The bedding, linens, and the kitchen were all clean and stocked. The grill was fabulous and the property was wonderful. The hosts, the Harrell's were very helpful and checked in with us to make sure everything was okay. The rustic charm combined with the luxury of WiFi and anything we could need was excellent. Thayne was also a very friendly town with everything we might have needed. Oh, the views were awesome as well.

The cabin was great, the scenery was stunning! The owner was very hospitable and provided information about the cabin and the area prior to our stay, and followed up after our stay to ensure that we were happy and to seek any suggestions to help improve for future renters. The only negative was a lack of soundproofing inside the cabin, which may be normal in a log cabin. It didn't bother us much and the kids were still able to sleep after having worn themselves out during the day.

We absolutely enjoyed our stay at this cabin! Eric was amazing at communicating with us! Recent flooding had washed out the road, so he guided us through some detours to help us arrive safely at the cabin! We loved the large kitchen, and we had all the kitchen items needed to feed a large family. The large wraparound deck was perfect for morning and evening relaxing and the fire pit was great for roasting marshmallows at night. There are 2 bedrooms upstairs that each have a queen bed and 2 twin beds, and the master bedroom is on the main floor with it’s own bathroom. We loved the nearby stores, restaurants, and golf courses. The cabin was perfect for our family of 8, and we will be back again next year!

Nice private cabin with lots of room for kids and adults, open kitchen and dining, great deck and fire pit with beautiful views of mountains all around. It got a bit hot in the afternoons (late July) as there is no air conditioning ( like most mountain cabins) , but the fans helped. Plenty of activities in the area. Only problems were that there’s an active mining operation nearby so you have to watch out for the trucks coming in and out on the road to the cabin as they do NOT watch for incoming cars. and the sprinklers ran several times a day, making a muddy mess of the driveway and getting the cars wet. Overall a great experience and Eric was very communicative and available for questions.

This property is OUTSTANDING! The house is beautiful, impeccably clean (cleanest house I’ve ever rented), and a well-stocked kitchen. We were a large party of 7 with a dog and there was plenty of room for all. The location is ideal! The town of Jackson is a little over an hour away. Jenny lake is about an 1 1/2, colter bay under 2 hrs and Yellowstone 2 1/2 hrs. My husband and sons fly fished on the Salt Creek on the property and found a great spot in Alpine on the Grey river off of the snake river. I highly recommend horseback riding at Rockin M Ranch; the horses are healthy & happy, the guides are friendly, and it’s a great tour. I also recommend Dan Hansen Whitewater rafting; again a great time, very professional & accommodating. Eric, the gentleman who owns the house, is great. Very, very responsive to questions (even called me when he felt the text would be too long or confusing) and super personable. It was a great family vacation made better by staying in this amazing house. Thank you so much Eric!!!

Thank you Eric & Suzanne for sharing your beautiful log home with us. My husband and I just returned from a fantastic week long stay in this outstanding home. We feel so fortunate to have discovered this gem - we loved every minute and didn't want to leave.
Eric, the owner is great to work with and extremely helpful with suggestions on what to see and do and make our winter vacation experience here memorable. The owners have obviously put a lot of thoughtfulness and effort into making this home special and they genuinely care about their guests enjoying their stay.
From the moment we drove up we were so impressed with this majestic log home set on 35 very private acres surrounded by incredible snow capped mountain. We were already in awe by the curb appeal and stepping through the front door was equally impressive. Massive log beams throughout, a great room with a floor to ceiling stone fire place, a wall of windows to take in the beautiful mountain views, comfortable furniture, and elegant western artwork and lovely decorations are throughout. The kitchen is very well stocked with everything we could want with plenty of cookware, dishes, glass ware, spices and everything you need for preparing meals. The HD TV in the living area with satellite cable worked great as did the wifi and our cell phone reception. The home is spotlessly clean, warm and cozy.
With just two of us we only used the downstairs rooms as the spacious master suite and master bath is on the main floor. This is a great place for just 2 persons and is also well suited for families or couples.
The location of this property is very convenient – you have the feeling of being totally secluded yet it is only a few minutes drive to grocery stores, great local restaurants, interesting shops and antiques, and a variety of outdoor recreation opportunities close by. We loved exploring the Star Valley. Its low key and friendly atmosphere was like stepping back in time. The drive to Jackson Hole and Grand Teton National park is easy and very scenic along the beautiful Snake River. We saw tons of wildlife – herds of elk, mountain goats, foxes and eagles. Touring Grand Teton National Park in the winter is spectacular.
We highly recommend this rental and we can't wait to return!
