This unique home in a great neighborhood was just what we needed as home base while exploring nearby National Parks.

Check-in was rather easy and simple. Communication with the host happened via what seemed like auto responses. Neighborhood appeared safe. When we entered, the host did not have the air conditioning on and so the thermometer read 95 degrees which was super uncomfortable with it being 105 degrees outside. We got it on and working, but it only came down to 85 degrees time we went to bed. One of the beds had a tear in the sheets with a blood stain and two black spots. The host was notified of both instances and an apology was given. We had to wear socks during our entire stay because the floor was so dirty. We also had to wash a lot of unclean dishes and noticed dead bugs throughout the home. The exterior doors are not tightly sealed and the backyard is one big sand pit, not like what is shown in the pictures. Overall, it was a 2-star hotel stay. I don’t think I would stay here again.

This house is in a really nice neighborhood. There was plenty of room for the five of us. The property could have been cleaned better prior to our arrival. The floors were dirty and some of the cooking utensils I had to clean before we used them because they didn’t seem like they were all very clean. The distance is not too bad to Sequoia snd Kings Canyon National Parks. It took us about 45 minutes, so it wasn’t a bad drive.

Character and charm!

Overall this was an excellent place to stay! Well stocked (I did have trouble finding the towels but they were all freshly laundered in the dryer!) and had many seasonings and soaps Available (even though we didn’t need them, it was so nice to offer it! We had a couple little issues that were resolved promptly and communication was excellent! The only complaint is that there was only landscaping in the front and the outdoor furniture was covered in bird poop (and no bbq) so outdoors was not a good place to hang. My kids were SO dirty after playing outside and had to go straight to the shower. I think all the construction around brought out some buggies too. Overall we would DEFINITELY stay there again! Plenty of space and so comfortable for our family and local friends to have dinner and great conversations by the fireplace! Thank you Octafarm!

Visalia Stay

Property is in a very nice neighborhood, the bedrooms are fantastic. The main living area is a bit different, we could have used more towels, paper towels, and bath tissue.I would stay here again.

Perfect accommodations

We all fell in love with this place. Super cute and clean decor. Accommodations were perfect for our group of five including 25 year old best friends who shared a room but had their own beds. Would definitely stay here again! Plus Hal was a great host!

I enjoyed staying in this property. Lot’s of room inside for our group of ten. The area is super quite and close supermarket, gas stations and restaurants. Communication was perfect on any questions that I had.

Clean house but poor host communication

Check in was simple, the house was clean, well stocked, and equipped with everything you need, including kitchen cookware. However, the Internet went out on the first day, and when we contacted the host about it, they gave us instructions that didn't resolve the issue, and then became completely unresponsive after that. Instead, they kept sending us auto replies advertising their property. The Internet issue appears to have been an issue with AT&T, and the display said to contact them, which we told the host, but the host never did anything. We're tech savvy people, so this was not an error on our end. We stayed for 4 days, and the Internet didn't work the entire time. This host account is also handled by a team of people, so replies aren't consistent, and they send you a lot of unrelated auto replies, which is really annoying when you have a question you need an answer to. They also use this account to advertise their real estate business and will solicit you even after your stay is over. I did not consent to getting spammed like this. Also, the AC can't keep up with the heat in the living room, so the common areas of the house gets hot, but the bedrooms will be freezing cold. The AC is also really loud in one of the bedrooms. This was not quite a deal breaker, but just a heads up if you're sensitive to the heat or are a light sleeper. But given the poor communication, unresolved issues, and the solicitation, we don't recommend staying here.

The house was unique and perfect for our family of 6. The location is in a charming neighborhood. It was clean and comfortable. The front gates were a bit wonky and a little difficult to open and close.

Its a really nice house! Overall i give it a very high rating. There were few little things i would suggest improving but none have to do with the house itself. No dishwashing detergent or starter coffee provided. We had no clean dishtowels but found a sheet left in dryer with one drying towel. No drying rack. Light in master bedroom closet was so dim we couldnt see in closet. No shower mat in 2nd bath. They brought it late afternoon on day 2. Patio furniture was so dirty on porch that we couldnt sit out there to drink coffee. All that said. it is a very nice house. I would give it a 9 out of 10 because of the things I listed. They are all things that can very easily be changed and then I would say it is a 10 for sure.

It was nice to not be boxed in like a hotel room would’ve been. There’s room to relax,eat,sleep,wash clothing,study,watch television, 3bd. 2ba. Pet friendly though didn’t bring mine on this trip. Can use and wash the on site dishes & cookware. Cook own food. Use fridge,microwave,oven and do laundry. 1 room has two beds. Covered patio with table and chairs. All around a really nice place to stay and plan to rent again soon.

Beautiful home

We had a great stay. We had a late flight the night of check in, but still easily found the home and had no issues getting settled in. Communication with host was smooth and he checked in on us to make sure all was well. The home is unique and lovely. We were able to visit Sequoia National Park and enjoy the beautiful area. Would stay again.

Perfect OctaFarm Escape

The property is beautiful and a very unique design! The inside is more spacious than it seems in the pictures. The sunken fire pit is an amazing experience and this house has a WOW factor when you check in. The owner was very communicative throughout the whole booking/stay. I would love to stay here again!
