Beautiful Home

Absolutely beautiful home that accommodated 12 of us at Christmas. The owners had decorated every room of the house to make our holiday gathering even more enjoyable. Excellent communication with the property management staff as well.

Large home

Very large space and was clean when we stayed. Yard has flat areas good for playing outdoors. We would stay again. One note is that this area generally has a lot of bugs so make sure to bring bug spray!

Beautiful house - had a wonderful stay

Beautiful house - each bedroom had its own bathroom which made it convenient for our group of married couples. Kitchen was also well-stocked. We had an issue with the fireplace not working in the master bedroom but other than that, the stay was great. The deposit policy though is a bit odd. You pay it with your credit card then they reimburse it back to you a month later via check. I’ve never encountered that from a rental on VRBO.

Christmas Get-away

We could not have asked for a better house to celebrate our family Christmas! The house is beautiful! The kitchen is stocked with anything you could think of including crock pots, an air fryer (downstairs), ice maker, spices, Tupperware for left overs, the list goes on. The bedrooms are very large and the mattresses are comfortable. We never ran out of hot water or towels. The air mattress was a nice surprise. The house had plenty to keep us entertained, but we really enjoyed our walks down by the lake. For this time of year, the house was perfect for us!

Good Experience at Water's Edge

Our family had such a great experience at Water's Edge! Attributes: Very roomy and spacious; Very nice amenities; Very clean and beautiful; Very comfortable beds; Opportunities: Ice maker did not work in the frig; For a large family, a second full size frig would be nice; A game room-pool/ping pong would be nice for those rainy days; A wider path to the lake with small children would be nice. Overall, we would recommend this rental for any large family, and we so hope to rent again!! Thank you.

We love this place. This is our second year here and already booked for next year. The owner listened to our request for additional outside porch chairs from last years review. Thank you! Still hoping for outdoor games (e.g., corn hole, later, badminton, or croquet). The second boat slip was very useful. However, a neighbor came down to tell us we were not allowed two slips. It was a little awkward. I invited him in and provided the information available at the property and what was provided to us. II suggested he call Cottage Keepers. It was resolve but, that was resolved pretty quickly and the neighbor returned to apologize. We appreciate how well stocked the kitchen is as we have to bring very little. Internet service is strong, but cell reception stinks (US Cellular).

Waters Edge Lodge

The layout of this home was perfect for our large family to gather for meals, games, alone time or visiting. The kitchen was STOCKED!!! You don’t need to hall crockpots, bowls, pans, dishes or anything. It has it alll!!! Kitchen island was great for staging food. The bedrooms are large and very nice. The individual bathrooms per bedroom was a treat and we never ran out of hot water. The extra family room in the basement offered us the options for different television program preferences. WiFi was strong and the cooling system kept us all comfortable. Nice porches and fire pit. Wish list would be to have some folding chairs for the porches and outside games. The wooden outdoor chairs are sturdy, but not very comfortable. We have already rebooked for 2024. Thank you for sharing your home with us!

This home is an absolute dream. Every one in our group, as we all separately arrived, walked in with some phrase of awe. The hosts missed no detail in the construction and design of this getaway. The atmosphere inside was as stunning as it was outside. It felt truly like a place where you could disconnect and wholly comfortably connect with each other. The amount of space, especially with dogs and a child with allergies who needed separate space from allergen food, was the absolute cherry on top to keep everything chill and present with as little stress as possible.

Another great vacation at the lodge.Accomodations were very nice as usual. This was our second year here as the house fits our large family Very well. Equipped with everything you need. Fire pit very nice also Walking path could be a bit wider with small children. Possible second fridge/freezer up stairs would be nice for large family food. We will be booking again next year. Family Vacation

We have been coming to Castle Rock for years with the family and we are always looking for houses to stay while we are up there. We choose Water's Edge for the first time and it was house is beautiful and the rooms were perfect and with their own bathrooms. Boating Vacation

Everything was good…bugs are insane! The walk to boat dock and quality of water surrounding dock was undesirable. The depth was also 1.8’ in most places heading out to main water.

The house was large, spacious and included everything it was advertised to be. The Property Manager was very responsive and helpful through the entire rental process. One drawback was that there is limited boat slip parking. If planning to bring more than one boat there is no space to park as there is no lakefront access in front of the house. In addition, the house is located in a very undeveloped area and online maps show no neighbors within 200 yards which was one reason we selected this home. Upon arrival we discovered that there is a neighbor located to the west in very close proximity to the home.

This is our third year renting Waters Edge. We have already booked it for our family vacation in 2026. We love this property. The kitchen and dining space is huge which allows our entire family to gather together for meals. The kitchen is FULLY stocked, with multiples of every pot/pan (large and small), cookie sheets, glass and metal baking dishes, serving dishes, plastic containers (multiple sizes), utensils, plates, cups, coffee cups, and small appliances. If I had to think of something missing or in need of updating it would be minor (cheese slicer and sharper knives). The bedrooms are also fully stocked with ample blankets and pillows. Bathrooms are also fully stocked with towels. The basement bedroom below the dining space could use a new mattress. Over the years we have had a few different guests try it out all with the same uncomfortable conclusion. The outdoor space provides enough room to play bags and enjoy the space. We soo appreciate the owners adding the additional chairs (from a previous year suggestion) on the covered porch. The fire pit is always a good time and there are ample chairs. There is enough room for our 5 vehicles in the driveway too! Thank you for sharing your lovely home with us.
