Amazing - I highly recommend it
Our family of 11 had a great stay at the villa. We stayed here to celebrate my fathers 75th birthday. The kids loved the pool - the adults too :) - plenty of space for all of us: spacious and peaceful rooms and multiple dining options. The location is really quiet, but Frigliana and Nerja are only 5 minutes by car. Great hike from the house to Frigliana through the Rio Higuerion. Quick communication from the owner who was very thoughtful and cooperative! I highly recommend staying here

Perfect family gathering place in beautiful & quiet setting!
Wonderful in all ways! Photos and descriptions of the villa interior and exterior provide accurate information. Everything inside the house (and the pool) was very clean. What a brilliant idea to have two separate apartments in addition to the main house, on the property. This was perfect for our extended family gathering. Plenty of space for parking cars next to the house, inside the locked gate, was convenient and secure. We appreciated the comfortable seating inside the house, on the deck and around the pool. The wi-fi was great. Communication with owner Andrew, and on-site manager Oscar was fantastic. Large grocery store & fuel station are very close. Frigiliana, Nerja and Malaga are interesting, fun, clean places to explore and are our favorite towns in Spain.

We have just returned from an amazing family holiday in Andrews stunning Villa, Its situation nestled just below Frigilliana was very peaceful and relaxing and we enjoyed many evenings on the veranda watching the sun go down sipping some chilled vino blanco .I would recommend hiring a car for your stay or use the local bus service which is located just 2 mins from the villa as the walk into Frigilliana is rather steep .The swimming pool is truly amazing and it was in use everyday. A big thanks must go to Oscar the property manager who was really friendly and very helpful to us all week especially sorting out our grocery deliver on our first evening.

Large Family Holiday
The villa Casa las Mariquitas is a truly fantastic villa for up to 12 people and in a superb location situated between Nerja and Frigiliana with superb views to the mountains and down to Nerja. The whole villa (3 bedrooms/2 bathrooms/living/ inside and outside dining/huge kitchen), garden appartment (bedroom/living/kitchenette/bathroom) and pool appartment (2 bedrooms/living/large shower room) are all beautifully presented and maintained and absolutely every item that you need has been thought of and provided to make your stay as seamless and enjoyable as possible. The highlight is undoubtedly the the magnificent pool (heated if required at additional cost) and the beautiful surrounding gardens and magnificent views. The villa has adequate parking for 3-4 cars, and although the road (Calle del Secadero) leading from the main road is mostly unmade, it is easily navigable for cars, mini buses and coaches (we had a 16 seater coach and a 32 seater coach on 4 occasions). I would also highly recommend the use of an outside catering company (recommended to us by the property manager) if only for 1 night, we had 4 different Paellas for different allergies and dietary requirements, the food was expertly prepared and the food absolutely delicious and at a reasonable cost. Overall, the holiday we had for 10 family members and 2 friends was one of the best we have had, made even more memorable due to this fantastic villa and its superb location, highly recommend.

Such a beautiful stay
On arrival we were greeted by Oscar, very knowledgeable and on hand throughout our stay, incredibly helpful! Could not have asked for more. He even picked some lychees for us growing in the orchard..! We had a party of 12. Which this place easily accommodated - 7 adults and 5 children ranging from 3-13 years. Plenty of space for everyone. Lots to keep us entertained. We never felt on top of each family which comes in handy when naps and quiet time is required. The views are spectacular. The area is stunning and Frigiliana (5min drive) is lovely. Unless you are planning on just staying at the villa for the whole week. Would recommend a car, which we had. I did note a bus stop on the main road. Will consider using this the next time we visit for day trip to the beach. This was such a beautiful place. Lots of memories made here. Would come back in a heartbeat!! Thank you so much. Would highly recommend.

A fantastic vacation in a magical area.
The vila was stunning. It was close to Frigiliana and a 10 minute drive to the beach in Nerja. We loved everything about the vila and our experience there. Oscar the property manager went out of his way to make our stay amazing. From telling us his favorite grocery stores to helping us find a doctor when one of our kids got sick, he was fantastic. We really appreciated all his help.

Wonderful stay
We have just returned from the most wonderful stay in Las Mariquitas; I would highly recommend this property. We were a party of 11 (ranging in age from 11 months to 64) travelling for a family holiday, and the property was perfect for us. The villa is stunning and really spacious. It’s a sprawling property with a few different relaxing areas so you’re not on top of one another. The separate apartments worked well for our different groups too. The villa is clean, in good repair, and very well equipped, with pool towels, highchairs, cots etc. all provided. We spent most of our time at the pool, so found it useful to have a separate pool house with its own set of crockery/cutlery etc. (and enjoyed the many inflatables and games!) Andrew’s communications prior to our stay were clear and helpful and Oscar, the property manager, was fantastic. He even gave me a lift to the supermarket on the first night (before our rental car arrived) to stock up on essentials, which was incredibly kind and well beyond the call of duty! On that note, I would recommend a car for this property. You could manage without (Lidl is 30 mins walk and Frigiliana is only a 15 minute walk) but it’s hilly and would be a bit of a faff for groceries. We loved the area too. Frigiliana is a picturesque mountain village, with lots of bars and restaurants, and the beaches in Nerja are nice. I’d recommend the El Fuerte trek from Frigliana and we also did a day trip to Alhambra, which was fantastic.

Enjoyable (very much) property at Great location
The location (between the sea and the mountains) is great. 10 min drive to Nerja beach and 25 min walk to the center of Frigiliana. The house is very well equipped to host 10-12 people. Swimming pool is really great. Table tennis and billiard tables also available. The manager of the facility (Oscar) was helpful and reachable at (almost) all times.,

Absolutely amazing place
When we arrived the villa our first response was wow!!! What an amazing place. We stayed there with 3 families with children. There was enough space for everybody. The rooms are big and well equiped. The view from at the pool is amazing. The garden is nice and is well maintained. The pool house is amazing too, with a toilet, shower and even a kitchen with dishwasher and a fridge. The pool is big and well maintained too. If you want, it's possible to heat the pool, this will cost some extra but well worth the money. There is a table tennis table and even a biljart, nice. The location is perfect and easy to go to several places. The contact with Andrew was really nice. Also the contact with the villa manager Oscar was pleassant. We think it's worth 6 stars.

Wonderful villa, great view, terrific location
This is a really lovely villa with a separate studio and two bed apartment on different levels - perfect for a group of friends on holiday. The 270 degree views from mountain to sea were wonderful with great views from most rooms and several seating areas to hang out. The house was very clean with all the conveniences you might need. Less than an hours drive from Malaga and very easy to get to. Perfect position between Frigiliana (which really is postcard perfect) and Nerja on the coast with it's beautiful white houses, great restaurants and lovely beach coves. But frankly, you could just stay in the villa! Andrew (owner) and Oscar (manager) were very easy to communicate with but we didn't need to contact them beyond arrival as everything was in good repair and usefully organised - for example the pool area has it's own bathroom/kitchen/fridge with towels, plates and cutlery which is super convenient. Andrew recommended Paris Malaga autocars for airport car hire who were very efficient - would definitely recommend a car to explore, but you could climb up to Frigiliana in 20-30mins and walk down to Nerja in 45mins. Basically a lovely holiday in a great villa. Thank you Andrew and Oscar!

The property is amazing with the best pool we have ever had! The Photos don’t do it justice, it’s a slice of paradise in Spain. 5-star accommodation, with views to die for. We were looked after by Oscar and his team and nothing was too much trouble for them, they were friendly, accommodating and very efficient in dealing with any queries or questions we had . The Villa was spacious and very well equipped. The layout being perfect for large groups or extended families. We will certainly be using Vrbo again.

Stunning hidden gem with large pool
Just spent the most glorious week at this villa which is tucked into the hillside between Frigiliana and the beaches at Nerja. It is quiet, well equipped, beautifully landscaped and has the advantage of being spread across 3 buildings which was perfect for our family group. Woggles, lilos and doughnuts are provided for the pool and the shower room/loo in the pool house was a great asset. Also. The pool area is gated, essential with small children around. We hope to return very soon.

Great location and excellent facilities
The villa is perfectly situated between Nerja and Frigiliana, with easy access to both but in a quiet, private location with views you could never get tired of. The villa is very well and thoughtfully equipped, eg, kitchen equipment, games and books for children and adults, even a pump for the pool inflatables! Accommodation is split across three buildings and there are numerous spots to sit and take in the surroundings - so even at full occupancy you do not feel that the villa was crowded.

A wonderful holiday
Las Mariquitas is a wonderful place. The view is indescribably beautiful and the house and pool apartment had everything we needed. We enjoyed the pool area as well as the garden. We also enjoyed visiting Frigiliana several times for lunch or just for a walk. Our host Oscar was very welcoming and helpful always. We - a family of 3 generations: Grandparents, children, in-laws and grandchildren all had a great holiday.

Fantastisch verblijf in deze mega-villa!
We hebben een heerlijk verblijf gehad in deze villa. Helaas was het weer niet altijd heel goed, maar omdat de villa heel ruim is opgezet, was er ook binnen voldoende ruimte om met meerdere kinderen te zijn, zonder dat je elkaar in de weg loopt. Door de gescheiden poolstudio en aparte slaapkamers had elk gezin zijn "eigen" verdieping, wat heel prettig was. Het huis is goed uitgerust en heeft een prachtig uitzicht. Wij gaan zeker nog eens naar villa Las Mariquitas!

Exceptional villa, a brilliant experience.
This was an amazing find! Very easy to get to, just 5 minutes off the motorway, yet secluded and in a quiet area. The view from this place needs to be seen to be believed! The place was immaculately clean and smelled fresh when we arrived. The handover was perfect, the friendly agent handed us the keys and gave us a tour of the place. Towels and linen were clean and fresh (and plentiful). The local agent was on call and answered my call immediately on the occasion that I needed to ask a question. Overall - a brilliant experience!

Thoroughly recommend a stay at this villa. We were a family group of 12, kids and adults, and there’s plenty of room for everyone. Massive private pool area and great entertainment for the kids (pool and table tennis). Vi var två familjer med barn i åldrarna 11-17 år. Möjligheten att låta de äldre ha ”eget boende” var perfekt. Poolen är stor & utsikten över berg & Nerja var magisk. Fantastic Week Away in Beautiful Villa
Just returned from wonderful week away in staying in the beautiful Las Mariquitas villa. Location is fab, just outside Nerja and very close to Frigiliana. From start to finish the booking process was seamless with Andrew, everything exactly as described and spotless. Perfect retreat to get away from it all and enjoy spectacular views. The pool area is one of the best features, great size and sun all day into the early evening.

Great Villa. Perfect Location.
My family of four stayed at Villa Mariquitas in May. The property is huge and could have comfortable accommodated the maximum of 12 guests listed. The main house has three comfortable bedrooms (excellent linens), a large living room, great outdoor spaces and a very well-equipped kitchen with a beautiful gas/electric range. Because there were only 4 of us, we did not make use of the one-bedroom apartment in the lower level of the main house nor the 2-bedroom apartment near the pool. The heated ~28-degree pool was wonderful for early May and the pool house with a drink refrigerator, bathroom and hot shower were very convenient as the pool is separated from the main house. The best part of the villa for us was the location between Frigiliana (5 minutes) and Nerja (10 minutes). The views of the mountains and the sea are spectacular and probably what we will miss the most. All said, this is a great villa rental, perhaps the best of the dozen or so we've stayed in. You can tell that a lot of thought went into setting it up for guests, and Antonio, who looks after the property, is a total joy. I can totally recommend Villa Mariquitas as long as it doesn't conflict with the same week(s) we hope to return in the future.
