From the moment I arrived, my entire experience at this B&B was exceptional. Every interaction with the team felt warm, genuine, and professional — nothing was ever too much trouble, and I truly felt looked after throughout my stay.
My room was spotless, beautifully presented, and incredibly comfortable. The attention to detail was clear from the fresh linens to the thoughtful layout and amenities. It felt like a perfect space to relax and unwind.

「The lady owner was friendly and lovely from the moment I arrived.
I was made to feel very welcome and was even treated to a plate of home made biscuits.
The bed was comfy and I had an amazing night's sleep.
Breakfast was served at a time that was convenient to me and everything was very fresh. The bread and jam were also home made.
The property is in a very quiet location and in lovely gardens and provides a great place to stay during a visit to the lake district. 」

「It was our second stay at the Victorian and it won’t be our last.
The room we had was very spacious and most definitely ‘dog friendly’.
Our bed was comfortable and the breakfast experience was very pleasant with good quality food.
Staff were very attentive and helped enhance our stay.」

「Lovely staff, nice and clean, great breakfast selection, great location, everything was great really.
Only thing would be fewer single serving things like milk, ketchup and brown sauce packets. But otherwise a great place and we'd definitely go back.」

「Dogs friendly lodge. I do appreciate people in the UK treat their dogs as families. We saw a lot of friendly dogs in the lodge. What a great experience.
The breakfast is nice and the receptionist is enthusing to deliver help. 」
