Getting run down but great staff

Has the best breakfast but over the yrs it's now ltd.great location, free coffee from check in to check out time , the hotel is going down in repairs and condition.for the price Toyoko is cleaner .smoke is a major irritant It needs a new carpet and housekeeping shud look at the dust beneath beds and the main bath drain is disgusting. But old timers and service is 5stars

Close to station, but has reason to be cheap

The room happened to be a corner room at the emergency stairs mid building. Where the window was placed not where the bed is, just beside the entrance facing the emergency exit. So on the bed, feels like you are trapped in the airplane kinda, no air coming through, no view, just the walls. And the room with blocked window, the bathroom lacked ability to dry up the moist, I could smell the mold. Well other rooms could be better, but at least I wasn’t the lucky one. Well the building is old but good access to Shinkansen station, so that could be a relief.

Hotel is right by Fukui station and you can leave your luggage in lockers at the lobby and these are about the only good things about the hotel. We booked our accommodation too late for a 3-days weekend and all the business hotels near to the station are fully booked, so we didn’t really have a choice. Hotel is seriously old and dirty, starting from the lift up to the lobby. Stains on the carpet, stains on the wall. There is a hole in the wall in our room which was patched up and there is a hole in the patch! What is causing holes in the wall?! Stains on the walls in the room too and room is so old, it doesn’t look clean. Room size is terribly small even by Japanese business hotel standards. Shower is in bathtub but bathtub is too high and no anti-slip surface so kinda dangerous when stepping in and out. Free breakfast is very simple. Staff are friendly enough and could speak some English.

Small gem

Very good location , service ,free coffee all day , yes with tea , old hotel but great service and next to local train and airport bus to Komatsu the only airport in hokuriku ,breakfast is as good as big hotels in japan but service is 5 stars

ビジネスホテルとして設備は標準的ではありますが十分ですし、駅近なのが便利で何より助かりました。無料の朝食もありがたくいただきました。チェックアウトの後も大きめのロッカーを借りることができ、お土産を購入した後、駅近ゆえに置きに戻ることができ、一泊2日ではありましたが福井県を満喫できました。ありがとうございました。

1F居酒屋の喫煙所の真上から8Fまでってことで入り口モクモク。受付は…ノーコメントで…。エレベーターが一機のみで、結局下りは毎回歩きました。なかなかこないです。部屋は古い！清掃は行き届いている。けど古い！どんなに清掃しても数十年使った布団はどうなるかイメージしてください。別に男性だけで寝るだけだったら全く問題ないです。女性や家族連れ、上司などと一緒は避けられた方が良いかと思います。朝食は、全てを吹っ飛ばすように簡単ですがしかし充実してました。無くなってもすぐ1人で出してくださるおじさま！
