Il Rifugio di Ela was established at the end of 2005 in Furore, the painted town. It was originally an old farm house situated between the sky and the sea , and is now a comfortable refuge from the town’s chaos.

Situated in the heart of the Amalfi Coast, our family run hotel in Furore offers tranquillity, comfort and a warm atmosphere. From Furore you can reach all of the most famous places that the Amalfi Coast has to offer: Amalfi, the famous marine republic, rich in history and monuments, Positano known world wide for its wonderful clothes shops and a meeting place for the international jet set, Ravello with its churches and splendid villas, the cultural heart of the whole Coast and finally Sorrento, Capri and Ischia.

Our experience and the pleasure of welcoming new guests means that you will experience a holiday in Amalfi Coast of complete relax and enjoyment. Come and stay with us and you will discover the other side to the Amalfi Coast.
Il Rifugio di Ela offers its guests 2 apartments, Daniela and Emanuela, recently renovated and furnished with taste and functionality.
Each apartment has 2 separate bedrooms with bathrooms and a kitchen equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay at home.

Very comfortable and spacious accommodation, perfect for two couples or families. Kitchen was well stocked, providing all you need for your stay. Very kind and helpful hosts. Very welcoming patio and outdoor eating space, with view of the sea. Location was very nice in a small.town above Amalfi. Convenient to small well-stocked food market, restaurant, pharmacy, and bus stop. Short bus ride to Path of the Gods. Reserved parking space is a big plus if you bring a car. Highly recommend.

Everything We Hoped For

Rosa and her family were incredible hosts. We enjoyed every minute of our stay and will likely go back again. Of course the view from the (very large) garden patio is beautiful, but for us, the location is perfect. Il Rifugio is located right in the Furore town center, with easy access to groceries, a pharmacy, a cafe, and the bus stop. It was a pleasure getting to know the three generations of family that care for this 200 year old property!

I can not say enough about Rosa (our host) and her family. Rosa arranged our transfer from the airport to the residence, Francesco meet us at the home for check in and made sure that we were familiar with the running of the place. The town welcomed us like family

Sweet, friendly hosts!

We loved our little space here in Furore. The hosts were outstanding and sooo friendly. We rented a car so we could get around but did see a bus come across the road. There were some amenities close by and a little restaurant that was quite busy.

Truly a Refuge

We enjoyed our stay at Il Refugio Di Ela. Rosa is a fantastic host. She responds promptly and is super helpful. The space is as good as it looks online. it is spacious, clean andwell maintained. Close to a grocery store and good restaurants. Highly recommend Rosa

Wonderful villa, location and host!

Our stay at this property was fantastic! Rosa and her son were right there to meet us on the first day and explain everything including the surrounding area and public transportation. The bus stop is literally across the street. If you rent a car as we did, having a parking space in the Amalfi Coast is absolutely essential and this property has one. The home itself is very comfortable and is equipped with all of the essentials including air conditioned rooms. Rosa’s communication and responsiveness were outstanding. All-in-all, we would highly recommend this property and location.

Beautiful home - would definitely come back 🤗

Very good location, home was fully equipped and Rosa and her family were very kind. The location was perfect. Bus stop just across the street which takes you to Amalfi. Mini market grocery store, bar and pharmacy next door. Bus tickets can be purchased at the bar for the Sita buses that run throughout the day. Enjoyed the home and it’s facilities. Thank you Rosa.

Es hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Die Wohnung war sehr sauber, alles war vorhanden. Im Garten mehrere Sitzplätze mit schönen Blick auf das Meer. Die Vermieter waren sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Eine Bushaltestelle befindet sich direkt vor der Wohnung. Wir würden die Wohnung sofort wieder buchen.

Wonderful stay!

We had an incredible stay! Rosa was an amazing host, along with her parents who welcomed us to their space and made sure we felt at home and had great suggestions for enjoy Amalfi. The location is up in the incredible mountain side of Furore where we enjoyed the morning sun in the garden and cappuccinos down the street. There's a bus stop directly across from the stay that will take you to Amalfi where you can then catch a ferry to Capri + other Amalfi towns. JUST AMAZING! Thank you, Rosa & family! We would love to stay here again :)

Perfect Stay and great host!

We had an absolutely fantastic stay in Furore at IL RIFUGIO DI ELA! The bedrooms and beds were very comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked and we cooked every night. The location in my opinion is the best in Amalfi: great views, right next to the best supermercato on the coast, best bar with the friendliest owner. Rosa and her dad were wonderful hosts and I enjoyed chatting with them with my limited Italian. We will stay here again when we come back!

Great place, great location, great hosts

Furore is a perfect place to stay on the frenetic Amalfi coast in September. The house sits above the road with a lovely view of the ocean from the private shaded garden. The house is perfect for two couples (or more) with a modern kitchen, large common space and two well placed en-suite bedrooms. The dedicated parking space was much appreciated, as was the well-stocked grocery store and fabulous Bianca Zita Restaurant just steps away. Rosa and her son were warm and welcoming and we greatly appreciated the home-made "torta" Rosa's mother made for us. All in all, a wonderful stay. Grazia Mille!

Rosa was a great host and her accomodation was in a good central location for the Amalfi Coast. Lots of room to spread out in and a beautiful garden to sit in and enjoy the view. The kitchen was well equipped and the Mart just down the street made it convenient to buy groceries every day. We enjoyed our stay.

Lovely Furore

Rosa and her son were great hosts. Rosa made us a bunds cake for breakfast! The room were very comfortable and we had everything we needed. The apartment is nicely situated close to a mini market and restaurant. The pizza was delicious and we took advantage of them delivering! Thank you, Rosa. We really had a nice time

Paradise!

This was our favorite stop in Italy. Rosa and her family were so welcoming and helpful, from the minute we checked in until we left. The house was extraordinary, with an amazing view. The bus stop was directly across the street from the house, and we used it to get to Amalfi for a day at the beach. I can't say enough about how beautiful and comfortable this place was. I felt like I was at home on my own back porch, except I got to look at the sea! Thank you, Rosa, for making this stop on our vacation so memorable.

Fabulous home with beautiful views of the Amalfi Coast!

Very charming home on the Amalfi Coast! Three adults stayed here for five days and had a great time. The home was spacious and private with a wonderful patio. Separate bedrooms with individual bathrooms were very convenient for us. Rosa was very welcoming and helpful getting us settled in. Thanks so much!! We loved it!

Maison spacieuse et confortable

Jardin agréable bénéficiant d'une vue splendide.Maison globalement bien équipée même si on peut regretter une literie trop ferme ainsi que le fait qu'il faille sortir pour passer de la chambre au reste de l'appartement.Ceci dit la proximité d'un bar tabac(vente de tickets de bus) ,l'arrêt de bus attenant à la maison et un parking ,lui aussi,tout aussi proche de la maison ,où une place vous est réservée ne sont pas des avantages négligeables.J'ajouterai également que la personne chargée de l'accueil est fort sympathique, arrangeante et efficace tout en sachant rester très discrète. Bref une voiture se révèle parfaitement inutile(tout peut se faire en bus et bateau) Marc(21/05/2017
