Excellent place to stay outside the city

Great place, wonderful rooms ours had an outside shower which was great (even in winter), staff extremely helpful and friendly, lots of inside and outside space for chilling, had an honesty bar and great coffee available at all times, good breakfast - highly recommend, walking distance to the Mokolodi nature reserve which has a great restaurant as well as being able to go on short game rides

Sehr schönes privates Haus, gute Lage.

Im Rahmen unserer Botswanareise hatten wir am letzten Tag diese Unterkunft gebucht. Die Lage (Nähe Gabarone - Grenze Südafrika) ist ausgezeichnet, das Haus urgemütlich, der Empfang und der Service sehr nett und freundlich. Wir können es uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen und würden jederzeit wieder hier buchen.

Perfect spot -needs to be more informative

The guest house was very attractive and peaceful. However whilst the front person was helpful, training would be beneficial. Tackled us about dates and payment on arrival.We were not informed about use of kitchen.No meals served except breakfast (not sure how clear on website) No tonics in honesty bar. G&T are iconic to Africa! Absent owner would not talk with me about payment as I understand that Hotel.com was responsible. Yet you have not resolved this despite 4 e-mails.

An oasis close to Gaborone

Beautifully set in rural environment, close to a national park this small hotel is something else. Five rooms, spacious sitting rooms for all to use, self service kitchen and “honesty bar”, pool, - and Lizzy, the ever so friendly and helpful boss makes this a perfect place to relax. We stayed for one week before going on the trip of our lives, a tented safari with &Beyond. Mokolodi House turned out to be the perfect preparation, and will be our obvious choice if we ever have the chance again.

top locatie, ook voor business

ik kom her regelmatig voor business in Gaborone.Het is maar 10min buiten de stad maae je zit prachtig in de Afrikaanse bush en het huis is echt een prachtige soort lodge met alles er op en er aan. Keuken, BBQ, zwembad, huiskamer, Mooie kamers, schoon en ruim. Vrolijk en net personeel. Geen Airco, maar gewoon alles open, lekker windje en luisteren naar de vogels en wat er anders zo geluid maakt in de bush. Het is een eigenlijk groot landhuis met 5 gasten kamers. Je kunt zelf koken of BBQ. alles is aanwezig, alleen zelf de boodschappen doen (Spar, 10 min). Restaurant nabij gelegen (2min) aan het Mokolodi game reserve met de beste steaks van zuidelijk Afrika, een prachtige sunset en bezoek van Antilopes en wrattenzwijnen uit het park. Ik kom zeker terug. Zeker voor zakenreizigers aan te bevelen. Is eens wat anders. Afrika leasure travelers zullen wel vaker in dergelijke lodges verblijven, maar dan nog is dit een leuke tussenstop, SA naar NO BW of NAM e.d.

For a quiet getaway in Gabs, this is the place to

Beautiful surroundings very close to Gabaronne but you feel miles away from the hustle and bustle. If propping your feet up and listening to the birds sing while you enjoy a gourmet breakfast poolside is what you want, this is the place.Not easy to get around if you do not have transportation but a lovely place.

This was a total dissapointment

I did not stay, I checked out 15 minutes after checking in. Bathrooms are outdoors, room had no TV no Aircon. I could not connect to the WI-FI and the hostess had mo answers for me, after checking out no one even bothered to call me and find out why I was dissapointed. I cheked into another lodge and had TV, WI-FI, Aircon, private indoor bathroom and great breakfast included.

Prisvärt i lugn miljö, 10 min från stan

Charmigt och välkomnande hotell. Stort plus till att det finns ett gemensamt kök att laga mat i om man vill. På minussidan var att poolen var liten och ganska smutsig. Mycket hjälpsam personal.

Hotelli oli kuin afrikkailaisen siirtomaaherran yksityisasunto, siis aivan upea ja eksoottinen. Jo siitä kannatti maksaa, että hotellissa oli vain 6 vierashuonetta. Sai siis olla aivan rauhassa. Palvelu oli loistavaa ja henkilökohtaista, ihmiset todella ystävällisiä. Huoneet olivat siistit ja tulavat ja yleisiä tiloja oli todella paljon. Suosittelen Afrikan eksotiikkaa etsiville.

Magis stay at Mokolodi House, Gaborone

Wow, what a stay with a difference. In the Tau room - you bath and shower with huge one-way windows, so you feel you sit in nature, and so peaceful and quite out there near the Mokolodi Game reserve, using things like 'Honesty Bar' concepts to make you feel at home. very pretty and really enjoyed it - wont go any where else on my next Gaborone trip - and oh, the price was one of the best I looked at as well - so well priced as well.
