These gems are nearby, and exploring them will be the highlight of your vacation before you venture further afield to Grésigne, the Pays de Cocagne, and the fortresses of Penne or Puycelsi. In the summer, don’t miss the aperitif concerts at the winemakers’ estates—a highlight of the Gaillac wine region’s warm hospitality. This self-contained cottage, a former farmhouse in a small hamlet on the hills above Gaillac, is a 5-minute drive from town. It faces away from a small road that winds through the vineyards. Garden with a view of the Gaillac hillsides, courtyard, patio furniture, and barbecue. In this house, everything is spacious—even the hallways! This is how “Gaillacoises” were built in the late 19th century. First floor: large, fully equipped kitchen (refrigerator, oven, induction cooktop, dishwasher, drip coffee maker + pod coffee maker…), living room (TV, sofa, armchairs), half-bath.
