absolutely loved this place. Owen the bartender downstairs was awesome and the hotel itself was beautiful. its a horrible shame that its being torn down starting this week 10/1/18 to build college dorms! i would definitely stay there again had the owner not sold out to the highest bidder..

Westwood - Good Value in Galway
Lovely old hotel with lovely staff - helpful and friendly. Onsite restaurant was good food and fair price. Onsite parking was welcome and the location is not far from city centre.

Bon accueil, chambre agréable. Hôtel un peu excentré mais environnement relativement calme. Petit-déjeuner correct mais un peu décevant pour un 4 étoiles.

Music blaring at 1am, no AC
Very disappointing considering the cost. Room so dang hot with no SC, sink had a crack in it and music coming up through the floors until 1am...never again, avoid at all costs.

Hôtel au calme un peu au nord de Galway. Grande chambre, mais pas de climatisation (il est vrai , normalement peu utile en Irlande!) Bouilloire + tasses + thé et café soluble à disposition dans la chambre.

Enjoyed our night here. Check in was easy and staff was helpful. Beds were comfortable and they found us a fan as rooms were warm! Wonderful breakfast in the morning. Would stay again.

the best days are over
the hotel has probably seen its best days decades ago. the rooms and décor is not necessarily up to date - not even historic or ancient, - just old. if you happen to get rooms to the back (around 215) you get a charming view on the air conditioning system. for techies, this humming may be exciting; it may get on others' nerves. The breakfast was good and freshly prepared, staff is helpful and friendly.

The hotel looks beautiful until you get to your room. The room is outdated horrible smell and and to top it off our sheets were stained with blood .

This is an older hotel that may soon be closing to be turned into student housing, not sure though. This hotel is showing its age and though the room was clean, the furniture was wore out and stained as well as the carpet. The upside for us is that it is located next to a bus terminal that will get you to city centre very quickly and back again.

Wouldn’t recommend for families
Lovely hotel surroundings, views from the deck are beautiful. My two children (12&15) looked forward to staying in a hotel with a pool after several nights in small B&B’s. Unfortunately, when they finally had a chance to swim there was very little they could enjoy as many areas were marked adults only. The restaurant was quite small with very slow service. The deck was inviting with exceptional views however we couldn’t enjoy dinner there in the evening as none of the outdoor heaters were filled with gas! As this was by no means an inexpensive room, I definitely wouldn’t recommend. Not child friendly at all.

The hotel is just off the main road, so it was noisy. Very comfortable, the staff in the breakfast room could have been abit more helpful, maybe a smile or two on a couple of faces might have helped. Overall the stay was good
