Amazing home right next door to the marina! Perfect for an immediate family get-together or a larger group gathering, this ideally situated three-story Bear Lake dream home boasts sleeping accommodations for 24. It is “oh-so-close” to the many restaurants, stores, boutiques, and coffee shops that Garden City has to offer, making it a home base that everyone can agree on!

Enjoy the homeyness of hardwood floors, plush carpet, knotty pine board and batten, and granite counter tops. The six bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms make it easy to relax when you finally get away from everyday life and have space to breathe. Look more closely. You will find a fully equipped kitchen with an adjacent dining area, a small basement kitchenette, a dedicated workspace, a main floor laundry room, a main floor living area, and a basement family area. Don't forget WiFi internet access! Rounding out this package is a patio--with a smoker and gas grill so you can enjoy dining outside in those sweet Garden City evenings among the mature trees surrounding this lakeside gem.

With access to the community clubhouse, guests can enjoy a seasonal swimming pool (open Memorial Day - Labor Day), billiards, an air hockey table, and a fitness center. Take a break from the lake with a more quiet day at the pool, or take a quick dip in the hot tub to warm up after a long day on the lake or on the surrounding trails. Take advantage of the miles of nearby ATV trails in summer and winter on a 4-wheeler, UTV, or snowmobile.

For your convenience in planning, here is the exact layout of each of the bedrooms:

Great time had by all.
We were very pleased with the stay at Carly's Cottage. This is our 15th year coming to Bear Lake and staying somewhere on the lake to close out the summer before kids go back to school. This place was perfect for our needs, other than the television downstairs not working causing us to be a bit crowded upstairs to enjoy some entertainment. Other than that, it was great. Having the pool and hot tub right across the street was a big plus. We'll be looking to rent this place again if available in 2025. Thanks to Matt for quick responses to our questions and helping us out when needed.

Great Stay
Home was well laid out. Very clean upon arrival. Our four family's were able to enjoy the property with ample space to spend together and space for private time. Even though we were on the lake and spent most afternoons at the beach the kids enjoyed morning visits to the pool. While right next to a major road there was little or no noise inside. Location is great for both activities on the lake and in the town of Garden City. Probably the most important for grandpa was the bed were very comfortable. I would stay at this property again. One note: only one of the three TVs were connected to the internet.

McCally family reunion
Our stay was pleasant but could have been better. The first 2 days it was way to cold in the downstairs for our grand daughter that was 11 months old. (61 degrees) The last 2 days the AC unit would not work and kept freezing over. We kept it above the 71 degrees that was stated on the nest system. I’m sure all the cotton wood floating around and being sucked into the fins of the outside unit wasn’t helping it at all. But all and all it was good and a good location.

Great location!
Needs a little maintenance to shine. Blackout blinds or curtains in main bedroom would help with a 5:30 sunrise. A smart tv would be nice in that bedroom also. Door maintenance and newer couches on main floor would be a welcome to a 4 star rating. Just a little fixing would help a lot i.e. gas burners on grill, new screens on windows. Great location but not a five star rating but for sure a solid 3.6. Grandkids loved the pool across the street (very clean).

Nice property with a few minor issues
Generally good but there were a couple of things to improve: 1. Master bath tub faucet screen was mostly plugged with scale, etc. It was tough to get water flowing. 2. Quite a few areas needed dusting...for example the wainscoting in the common areas. 3. Living room carpet and several bed spreads were stained pretty badly. 4. There were a couple of bags of trash in the garage when we arrived...last visitors perhaps.

Great location in a very nice home
We really enjoyed the close proximity to the State Park marina. The neighborhood pool right across the street was a favorite of the kids. We had 7 adults and 2 kids and enjoyed lots of space in the home.

Beautiful to wake up every morning looking at the beautiful bear lake. Location was great, across from the marina. We found a piece of beach we were able to enjoy just north of the marina. Walking distance to grocery store. Clean and comfortable for the whole family

Weekend getaway
We were very excited to stay ! We got to the house and everything went smoothly. Parking was an issue simply because we were told by workers we could park by the pool but then told we were being fined for parking there. We immediately moved our vehicle to over flow down the block. We were told the workers were mistaken and unfortunately it’s not our job to train employees on parking. All in all the stay was fine nothing fabulous and probably won’t stay in this area simply because HOA was a little snobby. Parking was an honest mistake. Also the shower was broken from the previous visitors and I was warned but the vice grips were a bit of a pain but a quick fix in a pinch. .

Best Location
This property is in the best location. Close to town but also right next to the new grocery store. Also conveniently located by the marina and easy access to Idaho side. Stayed here for a family reunion that included 12 kids. They all had their own beds!

Nice and roomy, lots of beds. We loved the clubhouse and pool across the street and great location in Garden City. The kids were disappointed that there was NOT a Pac-Man machine as pictured. The house sleeps 24 but there weren’t nearly enough towels. We washed and dried towels several times over a three day stay.

Great Property
This was a fun place to base out of when visiting Bear Lake. We had the great option of living like we were at home without the expense that accompanies staying in a hotel. The smoker was a fantastic addition to let us do some brisket one night and it had all the amenities to enjoy our vacation without worrying about that part of it.

Our stay met and exceeded all expectations! Location, amenities, and personal touches made our stay absolutely fantastic. Especially loved the proximity to the bike/jogging path (steps from the back door!), the high chair, pack n play, and other things for kids, and the Pac Man game! The pool, hot tub, and clubhouse with foosball and billiards made the trip and were just steps from the front door. Would never stay anywhere else when visiting Bear Lake!

Great getaway
What a nice place to stay. We found the house clean and accommodating. Plenty of room for our large group. Great location too, within walking distance to grocery stores, and restaurants . About a 20 minute drive to the lake. We hope to come again next summer.

The location of the property was great. Very close to the State Park and Marina (even younger kids could walk to it). Having the pool right across from the house was nice. The property manger was attentive and came by to update us on the areawide power outage one night. Overall the house was very nice. However there were a number of little things that showed lack of maintenance and attention to detail that keeps it from a top rating. For example the backdoor door knob only worked it turned one way. It did have a sign posted to turn it "this way" to get it open. The younger kids couldn't remember and were always asking for help or knocking on the door. Many of the window coverings in the bathroom and bedroom windows were much longer than the window and not hung well. Just looked like we'll put something up to cover the window and let it go at that. The stairs off the back door to the ground are leaning away from the house. Never got used to walking up slanted stairs. The kids had a great time playing on the video game in the basement.. The "kids" room was unique and worked well for all the middle-older kids sleep together: two three level bunk beds with queen size on bottom, double on second level and twin on top level worked well. Having a second fridge was very helpful. But lack of pots and pans to feed a group of the sleeping size (24), sliver ware setting for eight and not enough glasses to go around. Luckily we brought our own plastic eating utinsels, cups and large pots for meals.

Location was great!
We enjoyed our time here with our extended family. There were 22 total family members. Everyone had a bed, but meals and congregating together was squished, done on a rotational basis or just not done. Would have appreciated additional seating options outside or packed additional table and chairs for full family enjoyment. Would stay again, just in a smaller group. The house location was great as well as cleanliness factor.

Nice place and great location
The house is very large and has lots of space. It's well-equipped so all you have to do is bring your clothes and food. The bike trail that runs north and south of the property is right behind the house so that was convenient. Garage was large enough to fit two vehicles, our bikes and paddleboards. Matt was very communicative and great to work with.

Great place for mid-large families
This was a great place for our growing family. Since it was our first short-term rental at Bear Lake, it took a little doing to find just the right home with enough bedrooms and bathrooms. This place fit the bill. Lots of space, a neighborhood HOA pool right across the street, the marina and boat rentals only 200 yards away, and very close to all the delicious raspberry shakes. We had a great time and would definitely visit again and stay here.
