“This home was a wonderful place for us to experience a much-needed getaway! It exceeded our expectations, and was exactly what we needed! It was so fun to see how Gail & Michael lovingly and creatively put this home together by repurposing materials. The house was perfectly clean and tidy, the hosts were great to communicate with, and they have thought of everything! We love to cook, and the kitchen was well stocked and set up to make that an easy and fun experience. Our dog felt right at home……

“This property has a beautiful view of the mountains and is located in very peaceful area. We were able to have a very enjoyable weekend, visiting the Great Sand Dunes and Zapata Falls. When we returned to the property, our family was able to sit back, eat dinner and relax without being on top of each other. The owner was very reseptive and commincation between us was easy from the time I booked, all the way to the end. I would definitely recommend this property and I look forward to maybe coming……

“Very nice place to stay. Animals every day around the cabin. Sit in the hot tub and watch them graze around. Had this group of bucks come 10 yards from me in the hot tub. ”

“We stayed in the MIL suite for two nights. Using it for a jumping off point for visits to the Cuchara Ski area and the Great Sand Dunes. The place was comfortable a spotless! Would highly recommend!”

“Quite and Private. Roomy and Clean. Each bedroom has its own bath plus there is a 1/2 bath, plenty of seating around the house, very convenient for families. The beds were comfortable. One note, the only A/C is a window unit in the kitchen. Each room has great ceiling fan(s) but guests are asked not to open the windows. If the weather is warm, the bedrooms can get a bit warm.”

“We loved this property... very private, comfortable and some of the most amazing views of the Sangre de Cristos! Dan (the host) was accommodating and active in making sure we had everything we needed. The geodome was a fun experience and gave us plenty of additional room to hang out and sleep. If we are in Crestone again, we'd definitely stay here! ”

From the spices, cookware, dishes, and towels in the kitchen, to the extra pillows, blankets, cots, and air mattresses for the bedrooms, to the boards and sleds for fun at the Dunes, everything was clean and well-stocked. It's a very private spot, so our family was able to just enjoy the getaway and focus on each other without the distraction of needing or worrying about the property. Communication with the owner and team was top-notch, as they sent clear check-in and……
