East Cork Break

Fab stay in a lovely hotel, with friendly helpful staff. We enjoyed a 3 night stay, bed and breakfast. The location is perfect for exploring east cork with lots of good restaurants and bars.

Fantastic stay

We had a brilliant stay, definitely will return. They staff are fantastic, there was a glitch on the booking fault of booking agents but the hotel were more than happy to accommodate with breakfast. Food at dinner was excellent and so was breakfast. Room was really spacious. Walking distance to playground and beach. The pool was warm and spacious, staff there was really good and friendly especially with the children.

This hotel has undoubtedly seen better days and now feels outdated. Efforts to maintain it in good condition are evident everywhere, but a sense of wear is still noticeable. The service is good, and the breakfast is plentiful. A pleasant bonus is its proximity to the ocean.

Lovely stay

We had our daughters christening here and we absolutely enjoyed our stay. Tara from reception was so kind and friendly, my 3 year old loved her, she kept wanting to back to the reception. The rooms were clean and spacious, there was an issue with the shower—it wasn’t providing hot water at the time of the stay. However, this problem was outweighed by our positive experience with the staff, who were so kind and welcoming. Overall experience was good because of the staff's friendliness

The hotel is in such a fab position ... decor inside is stunning, my room was huge and so clean. Food in the Lighthouse restaurant was yum. I was on my own but will def bring friends next time

The property was in a perfect place on the beach, quiet and luxurious on the inside. The pool and jaccuzi were a nice addition, both very warm. Great for a family as we had two kids and they had thier own bed. We had a king size. Best sleep in a hotel. Had a nespresso machine for coffee in the room, which is a nice touch. Beautiful walks on the beach in the evenings after a busy day in the city of Cork. About 40 min drive to the airport on a main highway most of the way, 30 from Cork, 20 from Midleton and about 25 to Cobh. Breakfast and dinner was amazing although I would reccomend eating around the other small towns for experience purposes. Only thing that might be missing is a small convenience store (about 15 min drive)or gift shop and a fridge. I still would reccomend this over hotels in Cork, Cobh and Fota Island.

Hyped up hotel but not worth what we paid.

The staff was very friendly to my family and check in was fast. We did not get an over view of the property, only that there are children times to pool amd here is your key. I would have like to know restaurant times for breakfast and happy hour and amenities of the property. I had to call down for wifi access, but the receptionist was very nice. I also did not expect the room only parital made up (2 or 3 bed) and no refreashment of coffee or water. Maybe this was the eco-friendly side? Upon check in, we noticed a shower issue and it was fixed the next day. Thanks but maklde for a noisy night. I would probally not stay here again based on the price I paid.

Fabulous stay

Enjoyed my stay, food and staff service excellent in lighthouse restaurant. So near a beautiful beach. Lovely atmosphere, had chats with lots of overseas visitors. Room very good. Would recommend.

I loved the location, the front desk person was sort of busy and preoccupied. Being close to the ocean was a huge win with little kids. The bedrooms and water service delivery was great. We loved the pool, but the hours are weird for kids.
