This charming mountain cabin tucked cozily away high atop Ski Mountain is the perfect Smoky Mountain getaway location! Our guests will enjoy the privacy of being on the border of the Great Smoky Mountain National Park! This large, one bedroom cabin, exclusively for a couple, is located less than 1 mile from Ober Mountain Ski Resort and approximately 3 miles from downtown Gatlinburg . Being on the border of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park allows visitors the opportunity to enjoy the beautiful panoramic seasonal views and to have a front row seat as the seasons unfold in the Smokies! Cherished memories are sure to be made in this romantic retreat from your everyday world as you enjoy the views complete with the Ober Mountain Aerial Tram periodically passing by in the distance.

From the moment you arrive at this charming cabin, a rustic, romantic atmosphere will surround you. Enjoy preparing meals in the fully equipped kitchen. The living area is a wonderful place to spend time as you snuggle up by the stone gas fireplace (Operational Oct-March) on the leather sofa or comfy recliner and enjoy a DVD on the Blue-ray player from our collection, a movie via Netflix, or your favorite TV show on the 50 inch flat screen TV. The main level also features a game room with a full size pool table and game table. Games, playing cards and puzzles are provided for your convenience. Relax and enjoy the beautiful views as you sit out on the upper deck from the rocking chairs or the porch swing.

The lower level provides a romantic setting for two: Watch your favorite movies from the comfortable king size log canopy bed on the 40 inch flat screen TV above a second cozy gas fireplace (operational Oct-March). A private area with a large Jacuzzi tub is just off the bedroom, as well as a large master bath with an over sized shower. The covered lower deck off the bedroom area provides our guests a private area in which to relax in the large inviting hot tub while viewing the lights of Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge by night and the aerial tram and beautiful mountain views by day.

You can plan a private cookout for two on the park-style charcoal grill located near the entry of the cabin. If you choose to go out for dinner, you will find excellent dining choices just a few miles down the mountain in downtown Gatlinburg or at Ober Mountain Ski Resort and Amusement Park. You may choose to drive a very short distance and park at Ober Mountain and ride the Aerial Tram down the mountain to dine or shop in the many unique shops downtown. As a member of Chalet Village Owner's Club please use our membership card provided for access to three club houses on the mountain, each with pools (seasonal) and recreational areas. This card also offers discounts at numerous attractions and restaurants in the Gatlinburg Area. You are sure to find the ingredients for a perfect Smoky Mountain getaway at Smoky Mountain High!

Smoky Mountain High is a smoke-free cabin, two person maximum occupancy (both guests must be 25 years of age or older), and pets are not allowed which helps to provide for an allergen-free environment for our guests. Our location is not suitable for trailers and/or motor cycles. Thank you for observing these policies.

Very clean chalet, Beautiful floor plans, it's a little high on the mountain but not too bad to drive to. It's perfect for a couples get away! The property owner message me a couple of times responded very fast, Pool table and hot tub a must for us. We saw 5 bears of all sizes cross over from the chalet to our right into the Great Smoky mtns national Park which is just behind the chalet. Highly recommend in the winter also just a short drive to Ober Ski Resort.

We really enjoyed the amenities this Chalet offered. The hot tub was a great place to relax after a long hike in the park. The chalet was very clean. Proximity to the park entrance was great! Close to the action in Gatlinburg, but a very quiet area.

Everything was amazing even from before booking! This was my and my husband’s first time staying in Gatlinburg. We searched through probably 50-75 different cabins, read through reviews of at least 20, and then reached out to 3-5 hosts once we had narrowed our search. Between the pictures and the reviews, I was already pretty sold on on this cabin. I sent the same question to the hosts of all the cabins we were looking at: we would be arriving very late at night we’re not familiar with the area, and were concerned about how the check in process would work and road conditions while we were there. I expected a reply within a day or so. Paula replied within an hour or two and it was very obvious from her reply how important it is to them that their guests are well taken care. That was just the beginning of our amazing stay. The communication was top notch throughout the entire stay. They give very detailed information closer to the time of the reservation from typed out directions in case you don’t have a phone signal to restaurants and activities they recommend. They made sure the lights were on outside since they knew we would be arriving late as well as a few lights in the cabin. There’s notes throughout the cabin and clear instructions on how everything works, not to mention the wonderful bear theme throughout the cabin. It’s very clear that they take pride in being hosts and we are already talking about coming back again in the future for another anniversary.

The hosts provided lots of nice "extras" that added to our vacation enjoyment, including leaving on some lights for our late arrival, a "just in case it snows" (which it did) food basket, & especially the Christmas decorations throughout the chalet for our late November-early December visit. The chalet provided a good base for our other explorations around Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, & the Great Smoky Mountain Mountains National Park. It was also a comfortable place to just relax for a couple of our days.

The property was just as advertised and exactly what we wanted. A short, beautiful drive into Gatlinburg but far enough away to not know it was there. Wonderful mountain views. A great place to just kick back but we also enjoyed just driving the mountain roads, stopping for a roadside picnic and just getting lost (sort of) for a little while. If you want to see bears, this is the place to go, we saw several everyday with one being only about 15 feet from our front door as we were about to leave. Our hosts were the perfect blend of available and caring with minimal contact. We would certainly return to this property.

We cannot put into words how much we loved staying here! Everything was perfect,super clean,comfortable and the decor was perfect for a mountain chalet. The private setting was exactly what we're looking for on our anniversary weekend. The hot tub was our favorite spot. The chalet lacked nothing from the description. The little personal touch extras were very thoughtful. The high elevation made it a refuge from the Gatlinburg heat, it never got over 80° our entire trip.The access to the club pool was very nice too.The mountainous roads naturally are pretty steep but are a piece of cake if you take your time. We are looking forward to a trip during Winter so we can enjoy the leaves being down and taking in the view. If you want privacy this is your go to ! Plus you are only 10 minutes from Gatlinburg. I’ve Been vacationing in the smoky mountains for many many years this chalet was by far the cleanest I have ever seen. Very comfortable included everything we needed, great hot tub, pool table. Board games, Plenty of literature in the cabin about local attractions and events. Maps coupons. two separate balconies, Plenty of kitchen appliances, plates, knives and forks. Keurig coffee maker. Excellent communication with host. I had no problems or issues and I feel that if I did, it would’ve been remedied very quickly. This host was clearly on top of everything. An absolutely wants every renter to have a great time and not be burdened with any issues. This is a great place. I will absolutely stay there again if available if you want a clean place anf pleasant time pick this rental. you will not be disappointed.

We decided on this chalet and it was a great choice. If you want a peaceful, relaxing, and romantic getaway, this is it. Not far from downtown Gatlinburg. Top notch hospitality. The owners were awesome. Property was very clean, well maintained, and just the best we've ever booked in our many vacations. We usually pack to accommodate how we live at home but we didn't have to on this trip. Very cozy. Hands down the best. We saw several bears. The roads were a bit nerve wrecking when we first arrived but if you pay attention to the roads, you'll be fine. The jacuzzi was great. Beyond perfect for a couple. All in all, just book it! You will not be disappointed.
