We had a balcony directly over a river with a view of river and mountain forest. So we felt we were remote and away from the world. However, when you exited the room you were on a Main Street with a free trolley ride to down town. Or you could walk the mile to get to the center of town and the aquarium. The room was very sound proof. So , I had the “feel” of being away from it all in a remote location but when I wanted “city life and people” I had that feel too. Best of both worlds. Finally, the onsite restaurant is excellent. At least 4 stars in my opinion and the best in the region. Chef Carlos really cooks and presents his dishes very well. The wine selection is great. I highly recommend both the rooms and the restaurant.

This place was amazing! The bed and pillows were super comfy. Walking distance to Anakeesta and downtown Gatlinburg. The staff was super accommodating.

Just stayed the night, in late afternoon, left early in the morning. Awesome place, our room was in the second floor and I looked the river. We walked to dinner at Chesapeake, then walked up to Starbucks in the morning for coffee. Most ships were not open but, we were on a schedule and had to run. Would definitely stay again

First point is that staff is wonderful on all counts. We were delighted when we first arrived to be able to check in early. Rooms are nicely updated but very small. Wall air conditioner was loud and room had strong odor of urine. My husband who is an engineer thought he would just clean the filter on the air conditioning unit. Upon doing so he found that the unit was filthy dirty with several bounce dryer sheets shoved into the filter causing the fan to overwork. Once the dryer sheets were removed the smell became even more apparent. I realized when I booked this property that it was a pet friendly hotel that was older, but this was to much. We honestly were afraid of getting sick from the smell. The staff on site was completely understanding and they were able to switch us to a different room. No smell and quiet air conditioner. like I said earlier, the staff was amazing and helpful. However, it's just a little concerning that you're going to advertise yourself as a small luxury hotel. You clearly have spent the time and the money to update the rooms in this older property but don't bother to clean or maintain your A/C units. The staff did state some of the rooms smell because it's an older property. I didn't really feel that that is an acceptable answer. I've been a nurse for over 30 years and I know the smell of urine. Within five hours of them switching our room someone else was in that room again. I could have paid less for a larger room somewhere else with a pool.

I do t have a bad thing to say about this place. It’s soooo close to the busy downtown Gatlinburg strip but feels works away! Quiet is an understatement and the dedicated parking is a godsend. Within walking distance of literally everything, and right next door to some of the nicer restaurants on the strip. Highly recommend Heirloom for both dinner and breakfast and RIO and Chesapeakwere both great too! Probably not the best place for kids.

I booked this hotel last minute after canceling a stay at a different place due to it's horrible reviews. I saw a review stating this hotel was renovated and updated. I wound up paying more, but NO REGRETS! This hotel had everything I was looking for. The main attraction is the river view and the balcony. The bed was cozy and the temperature in the room was adjustable and kept me nice and cool in the hot humidity. I loved that I could park right in front of my room door. The hosts were super accommodating and would send texts to check in and also recommend eateries. I was even gifted a free bottle of wine when I arrived because I told them it was my birthday. The hotel is right by many attractions and walking distance from food of every kind. If I go back to Gatlinburg, this is where I'm staying!
