I had an absolutely wonderful stay at the Hotel Royal. From the moment I walked in, the experience was exceptional. I was warmly greeted with a genuine smile by Dimitri, who immediately made me feel welcomed and valued as a guest. Within minutes, everything was already taken care of — he had sent the bellboy to my car to retrieve our luggage, which was such a thoughtful and efficient touch. As a VIP Expedia member, he also kindly upgraded me to a huge suite, which was an incredible surprise. The suite was stunning, featuring one of the most beautiful bathrooms I’ve seen, a private balcony with a lovely city view, and even a glimpse of the mountains in the distance. It truly made the stay feel extra special. The excellent service didn’t stop there — the staff at the restaurant and bar were also extremely kind and attentive, making every interaction pleasant. Overall, I’m extremely happy with my stay. The combination of warm hospitality, thoughtful service, and beautiful accommodations made this a memorable experience in Geneva. Highly recommended! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Wonderful hotel, excellent and efficient staff in the traditional Swiss manner: calm, unfussy hospitality. Remarkable location, if you're lucky with the train to the airport it's half an hour door-to-door, with the lake 10 minutes walk and a real array of Geneva's cosmopolitan restaurants in less time than it takes to order!

We had a wonderful stay at the Hotel Royal in Geneva. The location is convenient, just steps from the main train station (Cornavin), and we loved the free public transport card that covered rides all the way to the airport, super handy for arrivals and early departures. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, with high-quality bedding and nice robes that made relaxing easy. The front desk team was exceptionally helpful and friendly, always ready to assist. We enjoyed it so much that we returned for two more nights after our ski trip in the Alps. It was the perfect mix of convenience, comfort, and great value

We stayed in one of their new room categories that is a mini-apartment, equipped with a small kitchen and living space. We were there for a week with 4 of us (two parents, two tweens) and this space worked well. They kids slept on the sofa bed which was comfortable, but note the bed and living space are not divided - it's all one room. The bathroom was spacious and newly updated, and the toilet in a separate room. The room was newly renovated and furnished so we were really happy with the condition. There was a small leak in the ceiling one day, but the management was able to have someone fix it while we were out the next day. I'd had hoped for more of an apology for the inconvenience. Location by train station is central - the area is the dirtiest in Geneva, but it's also where most of the affordable hotels are and I also feel safe.

The hotel lobby is beautiful and decorated still for th holidays which made it even nicer. Customer service was excellent at the desk throughout our stay. We stayed in an executive suite. It was large, beautiful and very clean with a fridge, tea and coffee facilities and complimentary still water. They provide extra pillows, lots of towels of all sizes and lovely array of bath items (shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, body lotion, shower cap, etc). We were able to keep our bags safely in the hotel after check out while we continued exploring the city. We had dinner one night in the hotel restaurant. The meal was lovely (but a bit over priced). Food and the service was very good. Overall wonderful experience here and would recommend for future travellers.
