Unique B&B

Unique and charming house, very nice and helpful host, delicious breakfast and a beautifully decorated and comfortable room. Close to many sights. I would totally recommend it.

hervorragend ist völlig übertrieben

wir hatten ein studio gebucht aber nur weil kein doppelzimmer frei war. verwirrend war schon, dass man nur beim doppelzimmer inkl. frühstück buchen kann, das habe ich leider übersehen (buche immer mit frühstück!) und wir bekamen auch keins! dazubuchung war nicht möglich. das studion hat kein badezimmer!!! ein waschbecken und winzige, abgetrennte dusche sind im schlafzimmer!!! wir konnten froh sein schmall zu sein, ein gut ausgewachsener mann würde durch die "duschöffnung" nicht reinpassen! die toilette ist wiederum am anderen ende des küchen/wohnbereiches, wer nachts auf die toilette muss, kann froh sein nicht die treppe zu fallen. schlafzimmerfenster lässt sich weder kippen noch öffnen.

Quaint, Unique and Peaceful

Although not a typical B&B (no breakfast offered), we would readily return to this accommodation. It is charmingly situated in the old town and very conveniently located to tour the beautiful city of Ghent. The proprietor was exceedingly friendly and helpful. It is small, consisting of two rooms and has no frills, but it was comfortable and met all our needs. It would me more convenient, if the owner accepted credit cards. Cash only is accepted now. We did not use the parking, so cannot comment on it.

Excellent place to stay.

Fantastic location in the old town a few minutes walk from the castle. Meike was a super friendly host who was very helpful. The room was excellent, and spotlessly clean. I was on the top floor so you do need to be careful to avoid the oak beams! Excellent breakfast. It is a B&B++ with more than you would expect.

Historical but modern

17th century home, near tram stop from train station and close to historical center city, with all modern amenities and tastefully decorated. Quiet and away from crowds but conveniently located. Nice place to stay when visiting Ghent.

No breakfast!

It's called a bed and breakfast, but THERE IS NO BREAKFAST. Also, the manager insists on being paid in cash, which puts the burden of paying the credit card withdrawal fees on you, the guest. Other than that, the garden is lovely. I rewashed all the dishes before using them. It's a bit overpriced for what it is.

Zeer uitgebreide studio met alle voorzieningen. Kraaknet en er hangt een heel gezellige sfeer. Warme kleuren met veel oog voor details. Ook de koffietjes die er lagen voor de espresso zijn leuk. Mieke doet er echt alles opdat haar gasten alles tip top in orde hebben. Zeer mooie en rustige locatie.

Wonderful, peaceful B&B

We loved staying in Mieke's studio flat - it's just a short walk down the road from the B&B and less than 10 minutes' walk from the city centre in a really unique, historic part of the city. Mieke is a really warm and funny lady and knows a lot about the city. The flat is really nicely decorated and has a small kitchenette with a coffeemaker - if you stay in the flat breakfast is not included but there's a lovely bakery with a very friendly man just around the corner on the way into town. You'd be hard pressed to find a nicer place to stay in Ghent!
