Dirty dated disappointed
The appliances didn’t work properly, the place was filthy like no one had been in there for months. Dead spiders and webs on the lamps. Towels smelled of Mildew. Just awful. Especially for the cost. What a shame.

Owner's response: "Hillary, we pride ourselves on being here for all our guest's needs. Had you reached out with the issues you had we would have done what we could to make sure they were rectified and you were taken care of. - We have not been told that any of the appliances do not work, did you have issues with all of them? We could have sent someone over to be sure everything was in good working order. - We take cleanliness very seriously and have asked our cleaner to pay close attention to the spider webs, unfortunately, this time of year they can be created rather quickly. Again, had you reached out we could have taken care of this for you.We do all we can to make the best possible stay, and we look forward to this property hosting many satisfied guests. We will continue to strive for the 5-star experiences we know we can deliver and are accustomed to."

Good times at foxglove road house
The property was well maintained sufficient parking for our 3 vehicles We found the sleeping quarters perfect for our needs. The decks and views were fabulous. 3 bathrooms very well placed in proximity to sleeping areas having a washer and dryer a definate score for my daughter a mother of 4 boys. Close by grocery shopping quite convenient. Views from the deck reflect the owners perceptions of what guests might enjoy. Iverall a very pleasant stay that went by only too fast.

Needs Some Work
We unfortunately started our stay on the same day of a storm which caused the power in the town to be out for 24 hrs. I made several attempts to get a hold of the property manager to figure out what to do in this situation. I eventually had to call the management company the next morning to get a hold of someone live. Because the power had been out for more than 6 hours I asked the property manager to go check it before we drove to the house to make sure it was okay, but I never heard back. When we eventually got into the house 2 days later once power was back and it had heated back up, we walked in to 2 smoke alarms beeping due to dying batteries. I once again tried to contact the property manager to help, but no response. I tried to take care of the situation myself, but one of the detectors was in a closet that was locked, so my family with 3 small kids, spent the whole night listening to the obnoxious beeping. My husband and I stayed in the master bedroom with our 6 month old baby, who ended up having to sleep in bed with us because the room was so cold, even after turning the thermostat up to 73 degrees. I could not turn it any higher as our two other kids were in a room that would have been way too hot. We found the overall condition of the house to be fair. Under the beds were filthy, all the bedrooms had broken window blinds, and the mattress cover on the master bed had seen better days, it was so torn it hardly even stayed on. The water was also very cloudy. We tried letting the faucet run to maybe clear out any air in the pipes, but the cloudiness never went away. Needless to say, we ended up leaving the property 3 days early and going home.

Peaceful Sanctuary
Our group of 6 visited in August 2021 for a business trip. The house is set off the street, which makes for a quiet atmosphere. The house is clean and we greatly appreciated the well appointed kitchen. THAT VIEW! We just couldn't get enough of staring at the lake. We were so thankful to have a lovely place to crash after 14 hour work days. Thank You!

Family Ski trip
We had a wonderful stay! The house was exactly what we were looking for. Less than 5 minutes to Gunstock ski area. Incredible views from almost every room. The house was super clean and the beds and living spaces were comfortable. My girls loved the awesome bunk bed! Caleb communicated clearly and promptly. Perfect stay and would love to come back!

Spacious getaway with a gorgeous lake view!
From the very beginning our host Caleb was great to work with as we asked a few questions during booking and check-in. Very responsive and friendly, you can tell he wanted us to enjoy our stay. The home is minutes away from great local shops, but it feels tucked away in a private residential neighborhood. The views of Lake Winnipesauke are absolutely breathtaking with a huge back deck and big glass doors/windows. Only wish the weather had been warmer to spend more time on the deck! The interior was really spacious and comfortable as my husband and I relaxed one day and worked remotely another (thanks 2020). No kids for us, but we could imagine the house would be perfect for a family getaway as well. Lots of updates have been done from the original house. The kitchen was perfect for our needs. We'll definitely look to come back again!

My favorite part of our trip was sitting and watching the sunset on the deck, beautiful views. Great communication throughout our stay and super easy check in/out.

Great Vacation Cabin
Caleb was an excellent host! The cabin was fully stocked with everything we needed. No A/C but nice oscillating fans in every room! We loved the gorgeous views! It was close to walking/hiking trails, shopping & restaurants! We would definitely stay here again!

Great house near Lake Winnipesaukee
My wife, our 2 kids (10 and 13), and I had a great stay at this house near Lake Winnipesaukee in early August. Caleb was very communicative and checked in before we arrived and during our stay to make sure everything was going well. The house's location is great, close to several beaches, restaurants, hiking, and grocery stores. And the deck is pretty amazing. We spent most of our time at the house relaxing on the deck and enjoying the view.

As for the house being "underwhelming" given the price: I'm a bit confused since we have an in-depth video tour of the home on our page showing people exactly, room by room, what the home is, so you know well in advance what you're paying for. Therefore I wouldn't say that's a fair critique nor worthy of 3 stars.. Best of luck.

Perfect for a family getaway
Just got home from a weekend stay, and we had a wonderful time! We arrived late, and we were so excited to see the gorgeous view of Lake Winnipesaukee and the White Mountains when we woke up. We had plenty of space for our three little ones in the bunk bed room and downstairs bedroom... they were so excited to find York peppermints on their pillows :) The house was spotless when we arrived, and Caleb was super easy to communicate with as we approached the trip. Having three bathrooms was a huge plus, and just sitting and enjoying the view over coffee in the morning and drinks at night was such a treat. The drive to Gunstock was super easy, and we loved taking the crew to Funspot in Laconia and Kitchen Cravings for breakfast in downtown Gilford. I would plan our next visit in the summer so we could take advantage of being so close to the lake. Definitely recommend!

Awesome place, great view.. easy and clean!
The place was great, nice and clean - mints on every pillow! The view from the back was beautiful. Nice location and a beautiful spot. Plenty of places to sleep plenty of people comfortably too.

Great stay!
We really enjoyed our time and Caleb was a great host! The view was as good as advertised as was the proximity to Gunstock Mountain, attractions in Weir Beach, and of course Lake Winnipesaukee. The beds were comfortable, furniture seemed brand new, and overall just a pleasant experience. We hope to stay here again and definitely recommend it to others!

A fantastic place
Where do I begin. We had a phenomenal time staying here. The rooms and overall layout was just as advertised. Brand new hard wood floors and furniture was a welcome change to many other places in NH/VT we've stayed that feel a bit "outdated". The beds also were quite comfortable. The views out to Lake Winnipesaukee and the mountains beyond were better than we expected! Unbelievable. The close proximity to Gunstock Mtn and Lake Winnipesaukee was perfect as we don't want to do too much driving around on vacation, just want to unwind. Mission accomplished! I would definitely recommend staying here if you find it available.
