Well suited for large groups
Our team really enjoyed the stay. There were plenty of bedrooms for everyone and it was a very welcoming house. The pool table and the theater were the biggest hits. The kitchen is perfect to cook for large groups. This would be a perfect place for a family reunion. The only drawback to the property were the two apartments over the garage. They were also wonderful spaces, but renters need to know that in each space, there is only one bathroom. Guests will go through/or past the other bed in order to use the bathroom. Not a problem for families, but inconvenient for other groups.

Great property, great location
Loved the space, was perfect for a large group of guys. Spacious property lots of both inside and outside space and price felt fair. Close to golf courses, the lake and the casinos. All good things!

Fantastic spot!

Amazing Place for Large Groups
My friends and I had a great time at this location. Charles was communicative, helpful and pleasant in every interaction. The house is better than advertised and well-equipped for a great time. Excellent spacious property and close proximity to everything you’d want to do in South Lake.

Amamzing Place!
We were a little nervous after reading a recent review that was not very favorable, however we found the house and our trip to be fabulous! Charles and Amy, our hosts, called ahead to see if we needed anything specific, and offer an early check in and at the end offered a late check out as well! Charles met us there and went over everything and showed us around. When we had questions, he answered quickly. "Accuracy of online listing" I gave a star less, only because it doesn't show just how wonderful the property actually is! The suites are better than the pics show. The details of the home are beautiful, yes there are a few things that need repair, carpet was a bit older, but mostly slight things, and they did not change how fantastic our experience was. My husband and I brought our 6 children, 3 sons-in-law and 6 grandchildren. That is a lot of personalities and every one of them LOVED the house. In fact it may be our annual go to! It's not easy to please everyone in a large family, but this place did just that. All the games were in working order, the theater was so fun, the hot tub was awesome. Enough room in the house for everyone :) We fell in love with the home and the details, the porch swing was a winner and the treager was used almost daily! Nevada beach is close by, great for a picnic and bike ride. And casinos just minutes down the road. Just a great time! Thank you Charles and Amy!!

Not as advertised, among the worse per 2022 standards
We have been welcomed by a very intense, rigid and rude host who toured the house with us insinuating and assuming that we were renting his property to damage it. The Private Chef we hired for our stay had the hardest time getting in touch with the owner to ask the questions allowing him to plan and prepare the stay. He was able to do so after being ignored for days. Even though we attempted diligent prépara and planning, we found out upon arrival that the appliances are so old and used up that it hindered his capacity at doing a good job. The house will sell for hours after every meal. You should bring your own plates, silverware and glasses. We stopped counting the moments where the house and the rooms tell you “You’re not home here”. There was a misunderstanding in the booking, the number of people the house can host and the accessibility of the guest and it resulted in the organizer of the event being yelled at over the phone never to be spoken to ever again. We felt scammed when we couldn’t find access to the lake. The ad suggests a view on the lake. Think more of an obstructed view on the lake and no access to it. It is palpable that when he welcomes you, the host sees the deception in our eyes and turns into justification mode. All the amenities advertised date back from the 90s don’t expect anything recent nor new. We are used to rent properties like this for our retreats as a tech team. We will never rent this one out ever again. The bunk beds are so noisy and old that the noise of the old old upper bed wakes up the people underneath. The backyard is an absolute dangerous mess. You cannot play pool because the cues have no chalk, you cannot play foosball because the table is broken. The Game room is not enjoyable and full of cheap versions of entertainment features. Don’t forget to bring your own balls. There are two notable highlights that the team has truly enjoyed: the jacuzzi, even though far away from the house, is top notch and the theater has very comfortable seating. The table doesn’t sit more than 10 people at a time and the dining room is the only place you can eat. When you walk around the house you smell the dust all the time and see the dirt in the windows. The exterior of the house is gorgeous and will make for great pictures. You need to prepare to take cold showers with no water pressure in the Masters’s bedroom. Bottom line, given the price , you have so many better options in Tahoe than this house and the host knows it.

The owners are wonderful host. They are very friendly and prompt in responding. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house was full of needed items to feel right at home. The only suggestions we have is to consider better signage from the road view as every agent missed the entrance multiple times and it can be dangerous for out of towners who aren't familiar with the area and the quick turn off from the main freeway. I'd also consider updating the carpet and appliances in the additional house at some point if cost effective as the property is beautiful and it will add additional value and spruce up such a beautiful mansion. Adding nice light fixtures and hiding the wires in the downstairs wash room area for safety would also potentially be helpful. Overall, we enjoyed our stay... Thanks so much

Very comfortable for families and dogs
We enjoyed our stay and this was perfect for our needs with plenty of room for 12 people to spread out. The fenced backyard kept kids and pets comfortable--important given the property's location close to Highway 50. Our host was helpful and even gave us the name of someone who catered a delicious meal for us. Rooms are large and airy and great for family entertaining. It was easy to keep the kids happy with a selection of games and a private movie theater. Definitely keeping this in mind for another family vacation.

Very tired “Luxury Mansion”
The house is a one-time beauty that needs lots of work and has many things that do not work. Very outdated. Broken ovens, broken microwave, broken trash compactor, broken ice maker and difficult hot water throughout the main house - scalding hot then ice cold or no water at all. Cracked sinks, filthy old carpet, not enough seating both indoors and out, major leak in the game room area so we never used the theatre, ping pong table or other games due to the soaked carpet and moldy smell. Video shows a beautiful dock over the lake with lots of picnic tables - not access for four years! Lots of wall and ceiling patches throughout the house and broken fixtures. We did our best to overlook all the bad stuff and worked on just enjoying ourselves but this listing is not at all accurate.

I am sad to read the false statements in your review. Please note cooking at altitudes of 6400’ may require a bit more care. Burning your food is not to be blamed on ovens. In fact, both ovens and microwave are fully functional. along with ice maker. Also, there is absolutely no leak at my property, it looks like something was spilled by kids using the game room. When I was there during the walkthrough the kids were thoroughly enjoying the game room and theater. Let’s please stick to reality without exaggeration.

Unbelievable property with an even better host
Our stay at Charles’s property could not have been better. The house is unbelievable and recently updated with new floors and an amazing home theatre system. From towels, to toiletries, to kitchen appliances and utensils, to sleds, etc - we had absolutely everything we needed. There was plenty of sleeping space for our large group, and the location just minutes from Heavenly and South Lake Tahoe can’t be beat. The oversized hot tub was an added bonus. Charles was extremely easy to work with, and we’re already planning on booking again soon.

Fun weekend
We had a blast for our weekend getaway to Lake Tahoe. Charles was amazing and friendly. Answered all questions. The only thing that didn’t work was the hot tub but other than that we had a blast. Plenty to do between the pool table movie room and air hockey machines. Even tho it was super cold the house was surprisingly warm the whole time. Would definitely recommend and will definitely come again!

Not Ideal
The property is very nice but very old. The floor plan of the house is very odd but it worked fine for us. Several appliances don't work but the owner has backups for each so we were able to manage. The owner was very attentive and friendly. It was a little unclear on the website to us that when we rented the property we would not have access to all the rooms. The rooms above the garage cost extra. The owner was very gracious and gave us a deal when he found out that we were confused but, still we paid more than expected. Unfortunately during our stay there was a huge moth infestation. In both the rooms above the garage and on the top floor there were dozens of moths that came out at night. I'm not sure if that's because there are a lot of old clothes kept in closets or because someone left a window open before we were there but this was very difficult, especially for our kids. In addition, there seemed to be people working on the property every day that we were there. The people were nice but it just seemed a little inconvenient. This is a huge home with a lot of room which seemed to suite us well. But based on this experience, I'm not sure I would go back.

Great for large groups!
We had a group retreat here, communication with hosts was flawless, they were genuinely accommodating. There were no issues with the location or the house. We even got a bit loud at times during the night, but as long as you're indoors it seemed there was no issue. Plenty of parking even though many of our groups took their own cars. Would highly recommend!

Perfect for large groups
Huge property, relatively secluded, featuring a large, unique house with everything you can imagine for your weekend entertainment (games, movie theater, hot tub, etc). The house was clean and stocked with the essentials, and had plenty of places for our group of 14 to sleep. Great location about 10-15 mins away from Heavenly Village. Charles and Amy were very good at communicating their expectations and answering our questions. Would definitely stay here again!

Awesome stay over 4th of July weekend
We stayed over the 4th of July weekend this year for 3 nights, with a large group of 24 (and a dog). The overall property was amazing: perfect for entertaining. hanging out and feeding everyone in a large group, great location and loads of amenities. Highly recommend if you've got a big group. This place has everything! The main mansion is enormous, room to sleep 16, with a fantastic shared space on the 2nd floor: lounge room, billiards room, dining room, sunken sitting room, kitchen and separate bar - all in a very open plan setting which is perfect for hanging out in a big group. The bar and billiards area were particularly popular. Kitchen is super well equipped: 2 ovens, a huge almost restaurant level stove top, a large fridge and a large freezer. Out the back there was a large patio area with a fire pit, 2 grills and further into the backyard a jacuzzi in another little entertaining area. Downstairs, besides the bedrooms was a nice gaming area with air hockey, table tennis table and a home theater, though this area we found was a bit out of the way and we spent much more time in the big 2nd floor area. The annex building is only a few steps from the main mansion, basically adjoining via the patio. Room there for another 8 people, with their own bathroom and kitchen amenities. Out the front there is plenty of space for parking - we had 6 cars. Only a few areas for improvement: * The wifi signal in the annex building was too weak to be usable, needs it's own connection or signal extender * Some of the sheets and linens were not clean * The oven doors were broken (hinges were loose and wouldn't close tightly), still usable but required us to be very careful in opening and closing the ovens

We had a great weekend at Charles' house. He was very gracious and thorough when we got into the house. The rooms were great, the game room was a hit, and the fire pit was used a lot. We had a large group and plenty of space for all. Plenty of parking too! We used the extra guest house area as well and all was just right!

Large Lakeview Process
The 6 bedroom house is located in a terrific area of Zephyr Cove. The house has large open floor plan which is great for visiting with family friends. We had some issues upon checkin, but Charles and team were responsive and fixed all issues quickly and the access to the additional suites ensured everyone had enough sleeping space.

Beautiful, huge area, owner is awesome!
I plan an annual trip for myself and my co-workers. We absolutely loved it and see ourselves using this home in the future. The amenities were plentiful with the pool table, games, and movie theatre. Kitchen was well stocked. The rooms were huge. The location was perfectly located near heavenly.

Amazing mansion, perfect for large groups
We had an amazing time at the Luxury Tahoe Mansion. It's HUGE! We had 24 girls stay there, and everyone had their own place to sleep. The way the house is laid out makes it easy to have a whole floor to hang out, and separate spaces to retreat for some quiet time. It is completely hooked up to have FUN with a large group, including a gigantic theater room, multiple games (pool table, air hockey, etc). The hot tub is at the top of the hill, overlooking the lake. There are multiple decks to hang out and grills to enjoy the outdoors. The kitchen has pretty much any appliance you might need - plenty of serving platters, pans to cook in - TWO ovens, two fridges and even a separate freezer. If you want good knives, you should bring your own, but that's typical of any rental. The owners went out of their way to show us around the house and make sure we were comfortable before staying there. I would highly recommend this mansion!

Beautiful house, accommodating owner/manager
Even by lake Tahoe standards this place was beautiful. Has a nice entertainment system, hot tub, billiards, an awesome kitchen among other things. There were some minor maintenance issues (leaking under sink, fixed by manager) and an issue with the wifi for the first few hours (also quickly fixed). Without even having to ask, the owner & manager gave us a very late check-out on our last day for our troubles. Would highly recommend.

A great place to stay
The owner Charles was very friendly and accommodating and worked with us to check in early since we arrived prior to the check-in time. His home was very nice and you could tell he worked to make it as fun for anyone staying there as possible. It easily slept our big group and it felt like a home away from home for all of that were looking for a great place to meet up and relax and hang out together. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a place to rent in the Tahoe area and we will be looking to rent it again in the future.

Awesome place to stay
We had a large group of guys and there was plenty of room for everyone. We rented out the extra rooms above the garage which was great for the people who wanted to call it an early night. Tons of activities to do in the house and the theater room awesome. Michael who showed us the house was great to deal with. Explained how everything in the house worked and couldn’t have been nicer. Would definitely stay here again!

We had a party of 21 and the house fit everyone comfortably! The main area was nice and open which was great for us all to hang out. Very pleased with the house. Great for large groups!
Our group had a fantastic stay at this enormous property in Lake Tahoe. The layout of the home is great, especially the communal areas that brought everyone close together. The home is fully stocked with an abundance of bedding, kitchenware, etc. which is nice because many other homes we have stayed at previously only provided bare basics. There's a ton of entertainment such as a theater room, foosball table, air hockey table, pool table, etc. so both kids and adults had a blast even on days that we just stayed at home due to inclement weather. The only things that would've made our stay perfect are: -- Add shades/drapes to ALL windows in the bedrooms! -- Add more fans around the home since there is no air conditioner and it can get REALLY hot during the summer. Overall, I would highly recommend this home for large groups!!

Made our group retreat special
I booked both the main house and guest house for a large summer lab retreat, and it was a perfect choice for us! The large kitchen and living area made cooking for a large group and organizing activities easy. We loved having the patios overlooking the lake, and the fire pit and hot tube were great perks! The house is a short drive from lake rental companies, so we were able to easily coordinate a day of stand up paddle boarding and kayaking. And we loved the hike we did at Mt. Tallac. The main house is gorgeous with ornate wood everywhere and provided more than enough space for our large group. The movie room, foosball table, ping pong, and air hockey kept everyone occupied during down time. When we arrived, we were given a helpful tour of the house, the sound system, and the movie system. Everyone we interacted with throughout the rental process was helpful and friendly. I would definitely recommend this property for large groups looking to spend time in South Lake Tahoe!

Amazing property
This property managed to keep our large group entertained all weekend long. Between the pool table, chess, movie theater, large kitchen & hot tub everyone was happy. There was plenty of room for everyone to sleep & rooms were clean/not cluttered like some rentals. While checking in, we were told during summer they allow their renters to have access to their private dock (we stayed during end of March so no private dock for us!) but we enjoyed this place so much we hope to visit again & see it. We were given an extensive tour from the owner at check-in which was nice as the house is so large & there are many house rules/things to know in order to have a smooth trip. (Some closets you're not aloud into, liquor cabinet is off limits, house iPad instructions, oven door was broken, etc.) This was an overall excellent place for a big group of friends to spend the weekend & as I said previously, we plan to return sometime soon! The only down side of our stay was due to the cosmetics of the property because the drive-way is difficult to find (the house is on 50 & you can easily drive right past it as many of our taxi/uber drivers did) Other than that, we have nothing negative to stay about our stay! Huge thank you to the family who shared their beautiful home with us!

Had a great time!
The house is about a 10 minute drive to stateline. It's on enough land to not worry about noise violations. We would go back again! The only issue we had was the movie theatre room did not work and does not have cable so we were not able to watch the super bowl there.

Bet place for a large group in Tahoe!
This is by far the best place my group and I have stayed in Tahoe. This is the 3rd winter we've done this retreat for work and our group keeps growing. The house was so spacious, great location and awesome property manager (Michael) who was very thorough in how things worked. We had a lot of issues getting up to Tahoe because of weather and mudslides (took us almost 10 hours from SF) and they were very understanding and even offered us to check out a little later if we needed to. I would HIGHLY recommend staying here and I hope we get the chance to stay here again.
