“The hotel is a few minutes walk from Mallaig train station, and the ferry terminal. There are two supermarkets and a few restaurants around the village so that one can easily get refreshments. I was amazed that the hotel is in a delicate traditional wooden decor, and has a relaxing garden terrace. I also enjoyed the window view a lot! The room was clean and it’s reception was excellent. I strongly recommend anyone who plan to visit any Hebrides islands, give the hotel a chance,.”

“Clean, mostly comfortable room - the pillows were the only let down. We had a really lovely evening meal in the pub and very good breakfast. There was an unpleasant smell of smoke in the hallway outside our room which was likely from the cigarette bin immediately outside. ”

“Great for Solo traveller. Felt really safe. Could park right outside my room. Breakfast had a good variety to choose from. Meals in restaurant were great. Not too long to wait. Staff were fantastic and very attentive. Nothing too much trouble. Good location before heading up to Skye. Looks out on the water. Not too much highway noise.”

“Our hosts were very friendly and offered advise regarding Storm Amy's approach, where we could see the stags locally (which we did!) and regarding returning via Bealach na Ba which we did in dense cloud on the way in. We took the coast road back as the weather was worsening and the view non existent! Our room was very comfortable and cosy with underfloor heating in the bathroom. The honesty bar was great for stopping in the room (wine, beer, soft drinks, various snacks) - we came away with some……
