Goeree-Overflakkee Hotel with Pool

"There was great wow factor arriving, and the novelty factor of staying on a boat was fun for the kids. As a hotel it was underwhelming. The bus connection is regular but the bus stops are in fairly ‘sketchy’ spots, I wouldn’t have felt safe as a lone woman. The shuttle is great but stops at 6pm, it would be better running later into the evening once dark rather than during the day. The rooms are kitsch with the period styling and they were immaculately clean. The corridor carpets were dirty...

"Managed rooms rather than a hotel. No front desk staff, only breakfast staff (1). Check in is via a hologram. Superb location and very big rooms though I found them too dark. Rooms have great view of church and square. Courtyard/passage furniture was filthy. No cycle parking though excellent public garage 3 mins walk away."

"Very pleasant stay in a quadruple room, very spacious and livable with kids. Nice pool area and lobby where you can drink/eat. Some equipments a bit dated but very good overall. "

Rooms are fine - but if you are a clean-freak, then this is absolutely not the place for you. It is worn and tired, and whoever does the cleaning is super lazy - closet, bed, table - nothing is vacuumed under."
