“Absolute amazing place to stay and the staff were so so friendly, always smiling, in a good mood and happy to help. The breakfast selection was brilliant from cereal to croissants to eggs benedict royale. Room was extremely clean on 1st inspection and was continued throughout the stay by the maids. Bar was awesome too. Dedicated parking too which was very helpful and not like other properties in area. We will definitely be staying here again 100%”

“I was greeted by staff in the pub in the evening with a warm friendly welcome. The rooms are in a separate annex so no noise can be heard from the pub. You are given a door code on arrival. The room was clean as was the bedding and towels. Quite a spacious double room with desk chair and armchair. The bathroom was clean The shower pressure wasn’t particularly strong but it was ample. “We had a lovely weekend at Arden House. Lucie organised everything with so much attention to detail and care that being there felt like a cosy home. We even received a welcome card and chocolate Easter eggs every time the room was cleaned. The location was also great, just a five-minute walk from the castle. The rooms were spotlessly clean. I would highly recommend staying there!”

“Dusty room in areas. Rubbish behind bedside cabinet. Couldn’t get to plug easily to charge my phone as it was behind the cabinet and when pulled out there was thick dust and rubbish behind it. No deep clean for a long time. Dirty windows, old cobwebs around it. Pool was not in use so very disappointed as we had stayed there for this reason. ”

“We loved our stay here. We could easily walk everywhere. The owner was helpful in several ways beyond expectation. While the street below our room was noisy in the daytime, it was very quiet at night. The provided tea and juice was much appreciated, and without our asking, the owner bought gluten free oat milk, just in case we wanted it. There is little space to spread out our things in the bathroom we had, but as accommodating as Rosie is, I expect she'll remedy that. I recommend this place and……
