Perfect Hideaway

Amazing Place!

This place was amazing and perfect for our group of 7...and one lab. The house is very clean and has many things available to use to make your stay easy! We enjoyed the basement that has so many games to enjoy from little kids to adults!

Outstanding Home

My family and I (4 adults, 2 kids, and 2 dogs) just spent a few days at this beautiful house for my son's 13th birthday and it far exceeded our expectations. It is even nicer than what you can tell from the pictures. These owners have thought of everything. It is extremely well maintained, organized, comfortable, and missing nothing. We easily cooked meals and took advantage of everything the house had to offer, including an awesome lower level with 2 arcades, pinball, darts, board games, air hockey/ping pong, comfortable lounging/tv area, and card table. It was so nice to have this area where the kids (and often adults) could actively "play" while others could be upstairs quietly enjoying the gas fireplace in the living room. The weather was harsh while we were there with a lot of snow and ice, but the house was plenty warm (you can control the temp) and the hot tub is easily accessible through the back door on the porch and with a heated floor path leading to it which keeps it ice free. There are plenty of blankets and good quality pillows and the water pressure for the showers is perfect. This is the first time that we ever did a rental that allows pets, and I was worried about it being dirty and/or having a lot of allergens as our dogs are hyper-allergenic. However, the place was immaculate, and I would never have guessed that we were in a pet friendly house. The owners were amazing: responsive and kind and we look forward to being able to book with them again.

New Tradition

Two years in a row ive gathered here with a group of close friends to celebrate friendsgiving. The hosts are responsive and a pleasure to deal with. The house itself is perfect for our needs. We'll for sure be back again.

Wonderful Place for a family Thanksgiving

Very well outfitted home in an idyllic setting with deer walking around outside at all times. Hot tub on Patio deck was wonderful to relax in while snow was falling, and the game room provided some for some good family entertainment. Chris and Allison are wonderful hosts that are there to help with anything you might need during your stay. Highly recommended.

it is a perfect getaway

I wish we weren't just getting away for 3 days and we had a full week to stay at this house. Everything was great. Clean, comfortable (great beds) everything clearly marked so you knew what switches went to what lights. Super well appointed, with kitchen and bathroom supplies. Game room (loved playing pinball) and hot tub were fantastic! Nice deck, cornhole and a grill for outdoor fun. Not far from shopping and restaurants. The only thing I could possibly think of that might be a little difficult for people who have trouble with stairs is, the staircases to the front porch and from the game/family rooms to the main level are fairly steep. Great communication with the owners. got an immediate response to a couple texts we sent them. Very friendly and care about guests having the best stay possible for a perfect getaway.

A wonderful vacation

The homeowners, Chip and Allison, were so responsive to any and all questions we had both before and during our trip. The property was clean, organized, tidy and well-supplied. Everything is labeled and easy to locate and use. The game room in the basement was a family favorite. We enjoyed air hockey, darts, pinball, Ms. Pac-Man, and watching Netflix. The bedrooms were spacious. Our kids LOVED the hot tub. The deck is a wonderful place to hang out and the front porch offered opportunities to see deer (and their fawns!), groundhogs, and other wildlife. The fire pit and the grill were great, too. We really had a wonderful time and if we ever vacation in the Poconos again, we will definitely book this property!

This place was perfect for a family vacation. It had all the bells and whistles. They thought of everything including an awesome gameroom and large jacuzzi! Planning to stay again soon.

The house lives up to it's name.

We celebrated our 2023 Thanksgiving here and this was truly the "perfect getaway". The house is immaculate from top to bottom. We spent many hours playing darts and board games down in the basement and found the hot tub to be relaxing and refreshing. The house itself is so well stocked. And the layout, having most of bedrooms and living spaces on a single floor was perfect for my older parents and kept them apart of everything that went on. We opted to not buy the clubhouse passes because frankly there was enough to do in the house that we never felt we needed to. Overall it was a great holiday and Chip and Allison were so easy to work with.

Lovely house for a lovely gateaway

Our family stayed here in August 2023 for a three-week holiday in the Poconos. The house is part of the Big Bass Lake community, although it isn't inside the gated part (which we liked because we didn't need to keep going in and out through the gates). The house is as described - it was very clean, carefully thought through, and well-stocked with items necessary for convenience. The beds were comfortable, and every room had ACs and overhead fans. The hot tub was clean and well-maintained, and there were lots of games and activities we could occupy our time with. The hosts were accommodating, communicative, and supportive of our needs and requests. What more could you ask for? We had a great time and would return. We strongly recommend staying at this house!

My family had a great vacation at this quiet house in Gouldsboro, PA. The owners were accommodating, the house was entertaining, and the location was close to all the best fishing lakes. Highly recommend this house for some awesome memories.

Pennsylvania Paradise

Wonderful home with hot tub and game room. My husband, my mother-in-law 82 years old, my Rottweiler and I drove over 1,800 miles from Wyoming to this wonderful home. We stayed for 12 days, early to mid June. When we arrived the owners informed us that the hot tub wasn't working but that the repair company should have it fixed in a day or two and they did. To be sure this didn't happen again they even purchased spare parts and now keep them on hand for quicker repair if needed. It's nestled in the woods so do keep in mind that in warm months there will be bugs outside. The mosquitoes weren't bad but lots of knats and our dog picked up a tick a few times so we just checked him good before coming into the house after his walks. This was our first VRBO experience and I wasn't sure what to expect. WOW! This location had everything you could need minus the food. The kitchen has everything you need to prepare any meal and even storage containers for leftovers. There was plenty of other supplies as well for the bathrooms, first aid, cleaning, laundry, they even had spare batteries available. The beds are very comfortable and the rooms are spacious. The game room offers air hockey, pin ball, arcade games, board games, puzzles, etc. Check the "photo album" on the shelf under the downstairs tv for dvds. Chip and Allison have put so much thought into what guests need. You can tell they really care about their guests. Communication was easy and quick response every time.

Friends get away

With 4 adults and 4 small children it was a great house. Unfortunately the weather didn’t hold up so we werent able to use the swimming pool and splash pad. The house had more than enough to keep everyone entertained. The owner was extremely responsive and made everything a breeze. It was so spacious so we never felt cramped at all! And the beds were so soft and comfortable. The hot tub was a nice way to end the day after all the kids were asleep. It was a great weekend!

Our most wonderful stay!

This home is a real hidden gem!!. We had such a wonderful long weekend. The house has everything and more than we expected. That welcome sign melted our hearts!. The house is very neat, clean and has that amazing cozy feeling that other places lack. We were incredibly relaxed. We spent the nights playing downstairs until very late hours, kept losing track of time, they have so many games that is impossible to get bored. The location is perfect. Chip & Allison are super attentive and great to communicate with. We highly recommend this spectacular home and we'll definitely go back. Thank you!
