The exterior and surrounding grounds of the house were enchanting. Each time we went away for a day to do some sight-seeing - on our return, seeing the house always made us smile. "I had a lovely week, away from it all, in Haute Correze. I love the area though I wasn't familiar with Ussel and its surroundings but found loads of new places to see and things to do. The accomodation was very spacious (I was alone), the dining room, kitchen and bathroom all well- equipped. I was there during a heatwave and the terrace was sometimes just too hot to sit out on, but still an asset to the property."

"Maison ancienne aux murs sales ou avec un beaucoup de chance vous aurez de la lumière dans l'escalier ou la porte des WC ne peux pas se fermer. Un seul bruleur fonctionne sur la plaque de cuisson et si vous tentez d'allumer le four l'installation électrique disjoncte. il y a bien 2 convecteurs électriques mais ceci sont coupé par le propriétaire au tableau électrique qui n'est pas accessible au locataire. etc... Attention propriétaire plus que roublard."

Communication with owners was very good and the pool was kept clean by Claude who visited often to check everything was OK. "The house has been renovated nicely and has most things that you need, except wifi! There is a reasonable telephone signal but we quickly used up our data roaming allowance as we were there to search for a property. There is a restaurant in the next village and a supermarket in Felletin which also hosts a country market on Friday mornings. It is lovely being in the middle of the Millevaches Plateau but that does mean it takes a long time to get anywhere. The host was very kind and helpful...
